It’s Provance, France, that is so much famous for lavender fields. But it turns out that Russia has its own huge fields with lavender located in the Crimea. 250 hectares! It’s not far from Bakhchisarai, in Turgenevka village. Girls like to come here for cool photosessions.

    • Well, it’s Russian-occupied Crimea. All ways are good to try to make money on occupied people, in order
      – for the State not to lose too much money on the occupation
      – for locals, to try to earn more money because of business gone due to international sanctions

Because, I bet you : Crimean lavender is nowhere to be exported…

Hmm…last time I checked Crimea was in Ukraine. Just being under Russian military occupation doesn’t make it part of Russia

  3. I was in Crimea in the summer of 2013 when it still belonged to Ukraine and open to the rest of the world. Now it is becoming a isolated dirt poor region. I pity the people there with there blind nationalism. Till how long when they awaken and demand there region be returned to Ukriane?
