Unusual hotel in Yevpatoria, Crimea, has been working since 2019. In the upcoming season it’s waiting for guests again. They are offered to stay in reequipped containers on the shore of the sea. The services of “Mirniy” hotel cannot be called cheap, one week in a 2-room container costs 85 thousand rubles ($1153).

Types of rooms to stay in:

— “economy” capsules (6 m²);
— 2-room with a queen-size bed (13 m²);
— 4-room with 2 bunkbeds (13 m²).

Each container has a toilet, an air conditioner and other conveniences. 2- and 4-room containers have terraces with beach chairs and floor-to-ceiling windows. The owner of the hotels says it’s a nice place for surfing.

  1. The BIG questions I have is “where do they get water from to supply the shower and toilet?”

    and…”where does the sewage go from the toilets?”

    And no, I wouldn’t stay in one of these metal boxes.

  2. Be careful, because while you’re sleeping in one of these, the containers will loaded into a cargo ship and sent to China.

  3. When you go for a holiday in Crimea, you will get a seriously raw deal. For one, everyone is trying to make money off you while providing the least amount of services. This is why most Russians prefer to spend holidays in Turkey or Egypt.

    Another serious problem with Crimea is that something like 80 percent of sewage is released into Black Sea untreated. Enjoy swimming in shit? Go ahead.

    Nowadays with COVID-19 raw sewage is very dangerous. Because it carries the virus better than anything else.
