Let us remind you that Baikal is the deepest lake on the planet, it’s located in Eastern Siberia. It’s also the biggest reservoir of fresh water in the world that has a tectonic origin. The lake is often compared with a sea – its square is over 23 thousand square kilometers, its maximum depth – 1642 meters.
The nature around the lake is unique and gorgeous.
Olkhon is the only inhabited island of the lake. Its length is 71 km, width – up to 12 km.
