Summer Vacation? I’d Better Go to Dacha!

Summer Vacation? I'd Better Go to Dacha!

Summer is the time of “dacha” for many Russians. “Dacha” is a summer house out of town where people grow vegetables, berries and fruits, work and rest. Many Russian families do have a dacha – their permanent destination for summer weekends. If they are short of money to go abroad for vacations, they do not get upset too much as they have a dacha to enjoy the sun, to work and have fun with family and friends. By the way, more and more young people willingly go to dacha today, 10-20 years ago it was mostly a choice of an older generation.

  1. It’s nice to see how you Russians live, the way you keep your Land Natural, foods grown with out Pesticides, No Police harassing you to mow your Lawn. Live such peaceful lives i wish the same could be said about North America under Anglo saxon rule.
