New Russian Olympic Mascots: You Must See Them!

Russian designers are ready with Olympic mascots for the Russian team that will represent the country at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo-2020. Their images will be everywhere – on souvenir products, clothes and everything else related to the event.

Voila! Here they are! A hybrid of a cat and a Russian winter fur cap and a hybrid of a Russian matryoshka toy, a bear and a tumbler: the creators explain – it never kneels down just because it has no knees! A bear is a symbol of Russia (do you remember Olympic Games-1980 in Moscow? It is widely associated with another cute bear).

The design of the mascots is made by the art studio of Artemiy Lebedev whose projects are never boring but often quite questionable. Well, what do you personally think of them?

    • Phial of steroids should be your symbol. Аll athletes in your country take tons of pills for “therapeutic exclusions”, only they officially close their eyes to this, since all the main WADA positions are occupied by citizens of the US and Canada. An example of a Serena Williams tennis player looking like a man or a Norwegian skier who all take “asthma drugs”
