January 19th – is the Russian Orthodox day called “Baptism Day”. In Russia there is a tradition for men and woman at this day go outside and emerge themselves into water at least for a few seconds. Many special places are made across the cities near rivers or lakes for easy access to the water, priests present etc. Some decide to train a few days before the baptism day (we will cover the day too). It’s traditionally considered that the less clothes you wear during the ritual the better.. Here is a photo gallery and some videos as well:

Many say they do this not for the first time.
And some even say they like the process.
However some are doing this for the very first time and very scared of the process..
It’s no wonder that there are so many viewers come to baptism day to see the process.
