This morning some Russian people woke up to the inability to log to their messaging app of the choice. It just showing “Connecting..” but never actually does. They have chosen the app for its minimalistic design, fast messaging, no ads, cross platform availability and cloud file storage. Also an encryption. This encryption became the reason why the Government decided to stop the app from operating. They wanted to get the backdoor to be able to read the messages, however the messanging app management didn’t comply (on contrary some other famous messaging apps, like Facebook’s WhatsApp continue operating seaminglessly which means they gave all the access codes to the Russian authorities probably). To mark this day we post a posting with a smiling Stalin.
Stalin is really happy.
