This town has just 300 people living in it. It could look like many other small abandoned Soviet towns in the Arctic but it isn’t. Instead it was rebuilt and looks pretty nice. Pretty much a model of what they all had to look like in this region. Let’s take a look.
In 1990s this town looked like this.
And like this.
But now it is all rebuilt, and has those nice container houses (mostly). They are administrative buildings.
And this is a town manager’s workplace.
This is how schoolchildren see their small town.
And this is how it looks in reality.
This is the local hospital.
Pretty big for just 300 people.
School building and also a pre-school.
40 kids study here.
This is a view of the town from one kilometer away.
And this is an overhead view.
There are many dogs here.
Some of the dogs are used for travel.
Hope you liked this story about how the town was rebuilt and how it doesn’t look abandoned and neglected anymore
