Such a loud headline might be the result of propaganda if it wasn’t in a Swedish newspaper. Here is what Swedes think are the scariest Russian weapons. The first one is the RS-28 Sarmat missile above. It’s an intercontinental missile that carries a nuclear warhead 2,000 stronger than the bomb that fell on Hiroshima. One bunch of such missiles can destroy a country like France in half hour. They will be armed in Russia in early 2018. Americans already call it “Satan 2”. Let’s see what else is on the list:
T-14 Armata – latest Russian tanks.
The LADA submarine is the most silent Russian submarine. It can’t be detected by modern sonar/radar equipment.
ISKANDER missiles. They can carry not only nuclear warheads but also the newest electro-magnetic charges that could jam and suppress enemy anti-missile systems.
These are low range missiles (only 185 km max) that can carry nuclear charge. They are called “Tochka OTR-21”
S-400 Russian anti aircraft and anti missile system. It can detect and hit missiles and planes over 400 km away from itself. The speed of the projectiles reaches 1000 m/s.
SU-34 Russian death machine. It can fly at an altitude of 4500 meters at a speed of 1900 km/h. It was used in recent Syrian operations.
Russian amphibious ships.
And now the biggest Russian super-nuclear-submarine ‘Borei’. It carries ballistic nuclear missiles and is very hard to detect. It can stay at sea for years, acting autonomously and is much more maneuverable than foreign competitors.
The Swedish newspaper says that the resurrection of the Russian army scares Europe. However I’m not sure if there really is a reason to be scared.
