Alexander went to the airforce base to see the training of SU-30SM and SU-30M2 jets before they depart to China for the participation in some air force contest there. The training included fighting between two jets and refuelling in skies. Alexandr got lucky. He didn’t just take photos of the plane from the ground. He was allowed to climb the cabin and fly with the pilots to the skies and then take photos of the refuelling process there. Let’s see some cool photos Alexandr took.
Planes were already ready for the training flights.
Planes have insignia of Russian Air Force.
And airfield dog roams freely.
Those are IL-78 refuelling planes that participate in the trainings too. Ten minutes later all those planes going to the air.
Pilots walk to the planes.
And inspect the machines before the flight.
Those are new Russian air force helmets.
This IL-78 refuelling plane going to stay over eight hours in the air.
Before the take off technician checks the planes on a runway.
This is SU-30SM
First one goes into air.
Second one is up.
SU-30SM replaced MiG-29s.
And now landing. With landing chutes.
Alexandr gets into the cabin.
This is his lucky day, he flies air force jet and also he sees with his own eyes how the jets are being refuled in the air.
He says it was not that easy to catch this hose as it constantly moves.
And then they going to land.
More airfield dogs!
