There is a weapons museum in Russia that is named after AK inventor Kalashnikov. It’s in the city where he worked and where main AK factory is – Izhevsk. And Russian bloggers went there and here is what they saw. Inside.
A statue of Kalashnikov.
Did you know that one of the benefits of AK-47 is that you can shoot both “Soviet” and “NATO” rounds of different caliber from it. It’s sort of double standard – all ammo fits in.
Since 1940s when it was invented it is already so popular that some countries have AK-47 image on their flags or currency.
Besides all exposition there is a shooting range in the basement where you can shoot from different AKs.
