Last weekend I visited a festival dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Air Force in the Far East, it was the celebration of the founding of the 11th Army stationed in the region. Russian blogger went there and here is thestory he brought back:
When I was 15, I dreamed of becoming a pilot, but I would have never became a pilot because of my bad health, but aviation theme is interesting to me even now, so when the day «X» came I went to the airport with a camera.
You need to go three kilometers to the platform where an aircraft technique stands; there is nothing bad as there was organized bus service just for those who do not like to walk. But in order to take the bus you had to stand in queue, but it is minor compared to the fact that there are no toilets and no points of water sales throughout the route and there are hundreds of people! Is it difficult to organize these stationary items? If you don’t know how to do this then call merchants they will teach you.
Let’s go deeper into the history, 2012 – the celebration of 100 years of the Air Force in Russia, photos from the same airport in Khabarovsk – http://golovko.livejournal.com/112978.html
A lot of people arrived by car, as a result all the yards around turned into temporary parking.
I did not want to risk and arrived on a bicycle and after all I was very happy that preferred the bike to the car.
Half way to the area with aircrafts and helicopters looked that way.
People are getting into the bus
One brave grandfather decided to cheat and climbed over the fence, the attempt has been successful!
Approximately on the half way it was possible to stop and take a look at technique.
I looked at the airplanes and drove to the next area; it was somewhere around two kilometers from us. Along the road people were hiding from the sun – there is no water and toilets.
Along the way we discovered a cemetery of planes, one of Aeroflot on the right is really interesting.
On the way to the main platform there is the first toilet!
When there were two hundred meters to the finish line an opportunity to shorten the route appeared, and a lot of people used it.
At the airfield a lot of souvenirs, pastries, water, barbecues! Barbeque costed 300 rubles.
The most interesting thing is that just after a couple of hours, all queues have disappeared, this happened after the performance of flight group “Sokoly”
Su-35 Ivan Gorbunov – named after Soviet pilot, a hero of the Soviet Union!
After the show of paratroopers SOKOLY appeared!
Pilots helped children to climb into the cockpit, many planes and helicopters were open to all who wish to visit them.
Helped to climb into the cockpit? Pick up the phone and make photo for instagram)
The military set up tents where anyone could pass a test of aptitude for military service and could immediately sign up for the contract service.
Looked at airplanes and went home!
Some people went through a hole in the fence, though later the soldiers stand in the place and stopped people there.
Overall I enjoyed everything; I did not want to bore you with listings of aircrafts. Thanks for your attention
