Each year in Moscow there is an event called Jet Expo. Now, one of our favorite airplane photographers, Marina, has visited this place and come back with awesome photos and storys – like she always does. If you’re interested – please proceed inside this posting to read on.
Some officials are opening the event by cutting the ribbon symbolizing the untouched entrance.
People are coming in to see what is in the expo.
Companies from all over the world come here to cater to Russian oligarchs and elites. Like this helicopter with an elite VIP interior which belongs to the Russian oil company, ROSNEFT.
Girls invite visitors to see the new BELL helicopter VIP interior. It’s fun how they advertise them – no real helicopter, just a piece of the interior so that rich people can try it.
Another elite helicopter with the USSR coat of arms on its side. Lenin probably would contest this!
Another fake helicopter – just a model to show the interior.
And here is what it looks like on the inside.
King Air 350i.
Another piece of an aircraft, a Falcon Dassault – not yet being produced, but already having its interior on display for business people to place orders.
This is what it looks like on the inside. Probably one of the first times ever that it is displayed to the public.
People seem to be expressing some interest in it.
Falcon Dassaults have brought two more jets.
And here is their press secretary talking about the benefits of a new jet. Or probably trying to impress those girls.
Elite wines, elite chocolates, and real silver utensils, all on board a private jet, what else is needed to impress a girl?
Looks like she is impressed.
Look at the inside.
New interior finishings.
Everything on board can be controlled from an IPAD. If you don’t have one they will give it to you for free while you’re on board.
This is a model of a Falcon 2000 which is based in a Paris airport in real life, so if customers have a problem with their Falcon jet this jet is used as a loaner while their own jet is being fixed.
In total there were twenty jets on display.
CEO of the Moscow airport Vnukovo-3 is inspecting his territory – he rented it to the EXPO, on a bike. Again with a girl! Looks like they all go there to impress ladies!! In the background there is an Airbus corporate jet. A big machine!
Here it is on the inside!
From here you can see more jets, Brazilian Embraers.
A Gulfstream G650 premiered at this expo, dressed up in Azerbaijan airline colors.
Enacting the famous scene of “Catch me if you can” in real live.
To get inside the planes, people had to put some special plastic covers on their shoes.
Azerbaijan airline already has two of these business jets.
And now a Cessna Citation M2.
Inside its pretty modestly decorated compared to other jets we saw today.
And now a Cessna Latitude has its Russian debut.
Another debut – Bombadier Challenger 350.
They say Russian clients adore these planes – probably because of their luxurious interiors.
And this is new Embraer Legacy 500.
It has granite floorings.
Embraer Phenom 500.
Bombardier Global 6000.
Some food and a Moscow church ornament, probably to get more sympathy from Russian clients.
Pilatus PC-12 with VIP interior.
And now a Russian jet – TU-204-300 – the biggest business jet at this EXPO.
They say this interior is similar to a presidential plane. It’s a suite for the main passenger.
A shower on board.
And here people who work for the main passenger will be seated.
Most of the companies selling jets still consider Russia to be one of their main markets.
Thanks to Marina for her effort and the awesome photos!
