Soviet Posters Restyled in a Modern Manner

Valery Barykin is an artist who works in the pin-up style and gets inspired by old Soviet posters. The resulting combination is rather interesting and funny. You can judge by yourself.

  1. Glamourization of Soviet life.
I don’t see a pinup poster that shows a long line of people near a grocery who wait many hours to buy sausages, butter or detergents.

    • That was late 80’s after U.S. undermined the Soviet Union by selling weapons to freedom fighters in Afganistan, now called terrorists since it’s now occupied by U.S. military. There were many educational films like Rambo and Red Scorpion, you should rewatch them, read a history book and take your medicine. And build a shelter in case Stalin attacks!

    • I do not think so. Many of them have a double meaning, or reveal the “sins” of people. Some are ment just give the idea or emotions from the Soviet or now Russian life, but not the 100% true visual picture. Note that many of them emphasize especially strong man weakness for beautiful women.

    • Yeah and U.S freedom posters didn’t really have slaves working the lands of dead Indians either… and right now we dont really have posters with dead black people on the streets of U.S who were never given a fair chance in life, starting with lack of education, open racism and discrimination…. You know why? probably not, and judging by your comment its useless to try to explain something to you…. you poor product of hillbilly incest.

  2. i really like the draws but its kind of racist, show girls like an object and i wishh one be involve in one of thouse situations hahaha

    • Ohhh goodness, by the looks of it this site has very, very few people with IQ over 50…… I mean really? Racist? because female is a race and not a gender now? Jesus Christ have mercy on the Americans, they have been robed of their intellect…
