If you are into Russian fairy tales, or just want to see something splendid and pretty much unique then you should not miss this post about a little secluded church placed on the tiny piece of land right in the middle of a huge lake. Let’s see it in detail!
This place was built pretty recently – it was constructed in the year 2000 by an architect, a university professor.
He called it Church of Andrew – the apostle Andrew, but his name was Andrew too.
Basically, if you ask where it is – it’s very close to St. Petersburg and close to the border with Finland.
You can click the pictures and see them full size. I really think some are worthy of becoming one’s desktop wallpaper.
Those are great photos. And what a wonderful spot.
Wonderful photos
Beautiful but desperately needs a bridge to attend services
Awesome!
Absolutely enchanting ….. what a wonderful place.
Fantastic !!
Very Beautiful! Thank you for sharing the photos.
GREAT photos, real mystical stuff 🙂
I bet there’s no Internet there 🙂
Any chance of being allowed to use one of the images for non-commercial purposes?
Nice building and a wonderful landscape. But instead of erecting a new church an already existing historic church should be preserved with that money.
