Here an engine is tested for 2,5 days. First of all, it undergoes adjustment and check, then – inspection and test run followed by adjustment of main parameters. All the process takes time.
Testing includes about 200 parameters which relate to different standard and non-standard situations. For example, one of the most dangerous situations during a flight is an engine stall. Related parameters are tested on a regular basis.
This very engine will be installed on a craft of a special air crew “Russia” for Presidential Affairs.
The dimensions are rather impressive – five meters, iit’s an intake area and engine PS-90A itself.
