Interesting pictures of the rescue ship “Commune” that has recently celebrated its 100th anniversary. It was launched back in November, 1913 as a ship of the Russian Imperial Navy and it’s still in service, as a vessel of the Black Sea Fleet.

What a great story about a great ship. Too bad they didn’t publish some of the old photos of this ships history. It would be fascinating to read of all of her exploits over the past 98 years.
I wonder how much of this ship is still original? A lot of it looks pretty old, regardless, but I wonder how much (if any) changes were made to the superstructure and the engines over the decades.
Piano is 20000$ worth…
I guess Longlife depends of that ship not used too much.
