  1. It is interesting. No matter where in the world you are the immigrants seems to be mostly young men in their best working years. Meaning they left the women, children, old people and the weak back in the shit hole they came frome. It is pretty pathetic to leave your fellow people in need to “make it” else where. These young men are also usually overrepresented in the crime statitics. The unemployed low life Russian youth ( gopniks) who don’t want to do the shitty jobs these immigrants do ought to be forced to take them. That builds their charachters and decreases the need of immigrats. A win win situation.

    • Yeah. Shame. But I at least remember it was EXACTLY what my ancestors did when they left for the US. The reason why they left the weak/old/women behind was because they kept hearing stories of the slums, and would rather have their wives and old parents stay where they know doctors, a clean home, and where to get the best of food.

Back in the late 80s my dad met my mother in Spain. I was born there, and my mother, knowing exactly which market place to get the cheapest fruit and meat, was able to feed all of us. But when we tried to move to my dad’s country, we wound up in a ‘sprawl-in’ outside of Washington DC, where the only food we could possibly get was from a supermarket (which we had to get to by bus).
With my dad’s starting salary (and he was an american who knew how to build software in the early 90s), my parents were only able to feed canned spaghetti-os to their kids. The taxes were high, they became indebted to a hospital, and their kids were isolated because all the neighbors were workers who only ever used their apartments to sleep and shower in.

I think I was underweight and lacking vitamins by the age of 4. The situation finally changed when we moved BACK to europe and by then, all of us were able to afford to eat actual food.

So no. It is NOT pathetic to leave your loved ones for a salary. Because maybe it was NO place to bring your families. Plus there may be a difference between workers who are or had no involvement with criminal gangs.
Because, there were a lot of irish criminal gangs in the 1900s, and somehow my family was never involved with them. So I guess race/nationality doesn’t have a direct correlation with criminals.

  2. i think the human need to migrate and “see the world” is embedded in all of us and is the main motivation for immigration, legal or otherwise. the money sure helps also.

    • Good thing they’re not like us. Give the middle-class enough money and their kids may wind up trying to build nuclear reactors in their backyard.

Plus hajis are Indian. Is your reading ability so poor you thought they were talking about people from south asia?

    • Blame the out-of-touch CEOs who try to spend less in order to gain more. After all, isn’t Amazon.com going back to using singular large rooms with bunk beds in order to afford to keep employees to work their warehouses?

  5. better government adminstration is needed to combat social unrest. It is very convenient for Central Asia countries to “export” young men. It means less trouble for them at home.
