In November, they held a a wild nature photographer festival in Montier-en-Der, France. This is a photo collection ‘Foxes of Kamchatka’ presented by Russian photographer-animalist Sergey Gorshkov.

  1. Great pictures, especially because some pictures seem to be taken from really close distance, not through a telephoto lens. How was the photographer able to get so close to a wild animal? Does he have a personal relationship to that fox?

  2. Most likely the “champagne-bottle” picture was taken with a remote-control camera. The camera was placed just above the snow and with the natural curiosity of the fox it was simply a question of patience, sooner or later the fox would come check the camera out. Takes some patience though…
