Believers have a tradition to sanctify Easter cakes and eggs.

After the strict fest it time to break it and have a big feast. Let’s learn to cook an Easter cake.
You need 1 kg of flour, 50g of yeast, 1 cup of milk, 10 yolks, 3 whites, 250g of sugar, 200g of butter, 100g of raisins, 25g of cognac, 25g of candied fruit, 3 spoons of lemon rind, 1 spoon of saffron liqueur, 3 spoons of vanilla sugar and 1g of salt.
Mix a half cup of hot milk with 100g of flour. At the same time dilute 100g of flour with warm milk and 50g of yeast.
Combine these mixtures, cover it and leave in a warm place for an hour.
Add cognac to candied fruit and raisins, add cool water to lemon rind.
Wisk yolks, sugar and salt to the white mass.
Add a half of the mass to yast mixture and add 250g of flour. Leave it for an hour, then add the second part and 500g of flour. After that knead the dough; it should come off hands.
Add the warm liquid butter, vanilla sugar and cognac. Then let ir rise again.
Then put candied fruit, knead again and let it rise for the third time.
Put the dough in special shapes for baking and coat it with yolks.
Bake for 45 minutes.
