A group of tourists made a trip to the Pamirs and Lenin Peak (7134 m), the easiest peak of such height on the territory of the former USSR and a pilgrimage place for thousands of tourists and mountain climbers from various countries.
The territory of Kirgizia, over that range is Tajikistan.

1st camp is left behind
This plateau is called “pan” because of its concave shape, it reflects sunrays and when the weather is good it’s quite warm in here. Till 1990 the second camp was located here, after the earthquake on 13 July 1990 that caused an avalanche and killed 43 people the second camp was removed.
