Fall Out for Real

Russian fallout goes Real 2

There are a lot of fans of “Fallout” game across the world. In Russia this electronic entertainment piece is widely recognized too. Sometimes the anticipation to game goes so strong that devoted people are trying to transfer the gameplay to real life, stating that some Russian abandoned locations are a perfect fit for an image of “New California” after it was bombed by nuclear missiles.

Brothers of steel, rangers, peaceful citizens, raiders and many others are those who you can meet if to visit one of those locations. “Game is so attractive when it’s played for real that sometimes you even forget that this is the game”, says one of the participants. “Especially if you try to keep the quality of the costumes and everything as much high and close to the game as possible”, he adds.

    • So long as they’re not hurting anyone – who cares what they do. Very faithful to the game, I’m guessing they were doing this for photos or were they trying to actually live out like Fallout?

  1. it seems like Russia knows how to LARP. With paintball weapons.

Unlike the USA…… LIGHTING BOLT, LIGHTNING BOLT, DEATH

  2. It’s Fallout like you know nuclear fallout, the radioactive dust that covers and poisons everything and falls from the sky for years after a nuclear holocaust. We’re not falling out of things.

  3. It’s a good thing that radiation causes sterility because it’s evident that people like this shouldn’t be allowed to procreate.

  4. Some people are so rigid. And rigidity is a serious sign of uneducation. You are the ones who should be radiated not to spread low IQ offsprings.

  5. Serious LARPing going on here. But it’s really cool LARPing.

Only thing I saw wrong with it was that (at least in #3) there’s no grass in Fallout.

    • Yes there is, there is one area in fallout three that is thriving with plant life. And it is also hinted that area to the north may bay unaffected by the blast. And in New Vegas Jacobstown is in the middle of a forest.

  6. There are many people developing open source algae reactors and processing info on the web. Check out algaegeek.com as a great example. http://algaegeek.com

  7. I recently came across your blog and have been reading along.
I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading.Nice blog,I will keep visiting this blog very often.

  8. amazing! I’d really like to have such a costume as well – a workshop how to build something cool like this would really rock!!

  9. The thing that people aren’t getting because it wasn’t in the blog was that this game was for either 2 or 3 days if i remember correctly. I read the game’s original blog and it talked more about the story the players went through. It would be like living in a fantasy if it lasted more than the limited time it ran. I think it was a one time event to my understanding and it was just for fun.
