Yesterday seven bikers from Vladivostok, the city on the Russian Far East, arranged a flashmob and rode their
bikes being half-nude as if it was summer. They decided to say "no" to winter cold and make people smile.
Winter Kamchatka is very beautiful. And its beauty is better to be observed from height. These pictures were taken in different years
from helicopters flying over Kamchatka. The bonus is fantastic photographs of the erupting Kamchatka volcano Plosky Tolbachik.
The first snow in Vladivostok brought first accidents and first victims. In some places cars of summer rubber fans were
breaking in groups on level but slippery ground. However one careless driver may cause breakage of numerous parked cars.
For a photographer Daniel Korzhonov everything began with a dream. He was dreaming to see the purest ice of Baikal, touch the sacred places of Siberia, feel the power of the
lake and get a piece of its beauty. Some skating and photographing were included too, of course. Daniel overcame 400 km (250 miles) on skates for less than two weeks.
Something strange has been happening for the third day on the main Russian road connecting Moscow with St. Petersburg. Hundreds of cars are standing in the
traffic jam which stretches for more than 200 kilometers (125 miles). People run out of food and fuel. Drivers' state is close to mental collapse!
It has been snowing for two days in the Russian city of Pskov. When it was over the
citizens could see the city like this. What's the weather like in your place?
Each April Taimyr has festive mood. In the regional centre they celebrate Heiro holiday or a reindeer day - holiday of the Sun. Right at this time light part of the day becomes longer behind the polar
circle turning into the whole light day. The sun doesn't set at all. The day of the Sun slowly became the day of deer breeders celebrated on April weekends in the villages of Taimyr.
These guys have made an unforgettable journey to a well-known river Selita in Kazakhstan for
fishing. The river is full of pike. The road to the place is awful but the guys overcame 350 km.
These guys were dreaming to see the pure ice of Baikal, touch the sacred place of Siberia, feel the power of the lake and enjoy its beauty. And
skate along its ice, of course. It took them less than 2 weeks to overcome 400 km on skates. And it was the best winter adventure!
