If you have been in Moscow, you must have also visited its main department store in the very centre of the capital. It is called "GUM" and is located next to Red Square. The place has a long history,

it appeared in the seventeenth century. Today it posh and luxurious, and always full of people despite high prices. Right now we are going to see how the store looked like in 1990.

After the New Year's celebration people recovered themselves and started to walk. Each year the

main place they usually come to is Red Square, of course. Let us have a walk there too.

The Rybinka river is a major tributary of the Yauza. Though diggers do not often come down to see it. There are no stairs under most of the hatches. We gonna see the historic area of the river -

it's a brick circular 3.5-meters chimney with a chamber two meters wide. The authors of the pictures got the place without any stairs or ropes, just using the power of their hands.

It's not what we wanted to start this year with but still... In December, 29th, the airplane Tu-204 crashed in the airport of Vnukovo, Moscow. Eight

crew members were aboard the plane: four died and four were hospitalized in serious condition (one of them also died already in hospital).
