Cities are nearly always beautiful at night with their lights and illumination. Especially when observed from roofs of tall
buildings. But what if we climb even higher? We are going to fly over Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, at night.
One of the greatest river of Russia - Yenisei flows from Mongolia through Siberia and falls into the Arctic Ocean. We
are going to show you Yenisei photographs of Ilya Naimushin from Reuters Agency taken in different seasons.
These photos of the Russian capital were taken from various roofs, towers, bridges and simply during
walks. The author of the photos is Dmitry Chistoprudov whose pictures you see at ER rather often.
In the end of August 2012 the department store "Tsvetnoi" of Moscow was decorated with 107 flowers, two of them
were giant orchids. We are about to see the process how they were decorating the store with huge flowers.
We decided to show you the works of those who won the All-Russian annual photo contest "The
Best of Russia". Today we present the best pictures in the nomination "Nature".
You are going to see the Ruskeala Marble Canyon on these photos. It is located in Karelia, Russia. The thin ice lies
under the the layer of sleet and water. This place is a nice way to find yourself in a winter fairy-tale.
Low emerald grass is under the feet, endless blue sky is over the head. Somewhere afar, over the clounds, so close to space, a white dragon is
sleeping - ancient as our world. We are at the Celestial Mountains of the country called Kirghizia located in the east of Central Asia.
Not so long ago we started to show you the photos of the most beautiful bridge in Moscow which is called "Picturesque". And as you already
know soon Moscow couple will have an opportunity to get married there. Today we have more nice photos of the bridge to show you.
A Russian photographer Alexander Popov went to Kazakhstan to see its nature and take photographs of
wonderful Charyn Canyon and a local ski resort Chimbulak. Some of his works are presented below.
In November, 27th a Kamchatka volcano called "Plosky Tolbachik" awoke and started to erupt. The lava destroyed the base
of the local institute of volcanology and seismology and the base of the nature park "Kamchatka Volcanoes".
