All This Dubai

While being on business in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Dubai, one Russian traveler and photographer decided not to spare a chance and made a helicopter trip around the center of the city to make a photo-story. To say that the city is rich means not to say anything. Dubai literally shines with luxury, mile-high skyscrapers and hi-tech facilities. These shots will carry you to the world of an incredible beauty with its fairy-like views.

To the fore you can see Dubai golf club which lies on the banks of Dubai creek. These train tracks below is a new railroad feeder which will be opened in the end of 2010.

Bur Dubai district. The yacht to the left is the second biggest private yacht in the world (the first one, as all of you know, belongs to Roman Abramovich) and the small vessel to the right of it is a support ship.

Body of human-made isles which is called The World. As you understand, it is in the shape of the world and comprises all the countries. One of them is already finished and functions well enough. In the beginning sheikh used the isle for advertising purposes but soon afterwards gifted it to his daughter.

This palm-shaped island is Atlantis hotel. They say that one week stay in this hotel with your children and wife costs more than $12,000.

Skyscrapers of Dubai Marina district. Then the center of the city ends and the industrial district show its face.

And here the symbol of Dubai and the highest building in the world enters the sight, Burj Dubai. The huge building behind Tower of Dubai is one of the biggest malls in the all world, Dubai Mall. There is an oceanarium located inside and also lots of waterworks. Each evening terrific waterworks show is being held there. It was made by the same company as in Las Vegas, but on a large-scale basis.

And now the rest, but not the least:

Wonder what there going to do once the oil runs out or iran attacks and takes there oil .
NYC is 1 million times greater than this desert hell hole.
Travel experts report that this city is the most boring place on the whole planet.
My friend went there this year for a week….after two days he couldn’t wait to leave…..a total bore.
I don’t doubt that at all Douglas.
guys ive been to Dubai. i think its the greatest city on earth, sorry New York but you guys have to many hookers roaming around. Dont hate until you visit the damn place. I went to freaking Chicago and i thought it was going to be attacked by alieans. Still Respect for new york
Dubai does not have any oil.
yes Dubai has oil, you dont know what your talking about.
Dubai has no oil. They profit of tourism and commerce. They are in such bad shape because in a poor economy, people do not travel as much. Do the math.
Actually, this is all to attract people once the oil runs out. I have been to Dubai and it is absolutely amazing, although I’m sure it’d be a terrible place to live, especially if you’re not rich.
Unbelievable place.
!!!!First!!!
Crazy city. Love it.
Dang 0_o nvm not first.
“Wonder what there going to do once the oil runs out or iran attacks and takes there oil ”
Ignorant douche… Dubai has no oil
no it dont have oil but its wealth is about oil and a place for arabs to be decadent so they wont be aressted in the home nation that have oil .
Did you find you Sea Daddy yet?
Awesome

BANKRUPTCY IS SUX
oh my god, the decadence..
talk about the bare necessities to live.
LOL
Axr?
Dubai is not the capital Abudhabi is.
Yea, all those buildings and the only missing part is TENANTS. I like the quote from recent WSJ article:
“You see ‘for rent’ signs on every building,” says Ziad Makhzoumi, chief financial officer of Arabtec Holding PJSC, one of the Mideast’s biggest construction companies. “But you don’t see them on every floor.”
^Seriously. Welcome to the upgraded Chernobyl.
Boris?
Since when Dubai is the UAE capital?

Dubai is also the terror and oil financial capital of the middle east . all of that money and not hardly a dime to help the poor in the middle east or produce anything of value .
I should have a comment published in this post as well.
Ah yes there it is No.11!
ER Moderator = Walking Enigma!
Now back to real life and making my Voo Doo dolls!
Have a Wonderful Winter Solstice Everyone!
Let’s not forget they are putting off paying back the $60 billion they owe on the world market. None of this is paid for. It will collapse.
Impressive indeed. But somehow I don’t feel like living there. It’s not cosy or homy. It is like living in a movieset. But the movie never ends.. All this concrete and steel. Not for me. I like old cities with a bit of new.
Yes exactly, it’s false and vacant in spirit!
What a waste of money, resources and time… True human folly..
We humans deserve our coming extinction!!
Dubai doesn’t impress me a bit!
it’s for riches … normal doesn’t impress you.
Waste of money. That money could have been spent on the poor and they would have fed thousands a day for thousands of years. Look at the African kids with no food while these fools are building non necessary buildings.
these country is corrupted and owns to all countrys in the world and they dont have the money to pay
Where do all the toilets flush to?
Living in extreme dept looks wonderful!
thanks from tony
You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig.
The subject is Dubai, not Moscow. PAy attention
Too much sand and not enough pretty women to be Moscow!
Most woman in Moscow are overweight nagging Tjotinkas. Pay attention. Not more butifull woman than other cities and counties!!
Well how about Moscow doesn’t have as many towel headed Mussies? I’m sure B-52’s and carpet bombing would settle the debt.
Boriska
Gonna be funny as hell when all the polar ice melts, and sea levels rise, washing away all that careful planning.
Looks like a artificial scenery, a movie set. Has nothing natural, Its all grey, has almost no green. I would never leave my homeland to such a place. There’s no place like home. And you cant call this amount of metal and rocks a home. The desert will take it away.
LMAO!
Sorry? What that means?
Why my comment was ripped out?
And who the Hell are you… No problem… I have two hands, I will gladly slap the Brazilian right out of you while I’m slapping the Finnish out of Finnish!
Wait…Stop… I’m sorry I cannot slap a boy no matter how bad he wants to be a man! You need to go to Pamplona, Spain and have The Basque teach you how to be a “Real Man” first and then I will gladly slap the Brazilian right out of you! You tell them TaupeyAna sent you and they will know what you need! Okay… And don’t forget to pack your running shoes!
LOL Damn it Finnish you are such a cheat! Give me my words back!
Are you talking to me?
Kiss my little white Irish Basque Russian American azz Finnish!
It’s a SONG not a cry! You freaky azz Finnish Australian!
That’s more like it! Your are so lucky you are not standing right next to me because I would slap the Finnish right out of you, really!
This place needs some terrorism.
B-52’s and carpet bombing would take care of it in short order.
Prepare to be hacked ER!….Targeting ER comment posting system now……
it is very nice
Looks can be deceiving. I’ve been told that, for instance, the sewage problem is quite severe and the E. Coli count in the waters you see in these pictures is very high. In addition, the accounting practices which accompanied the construction are murky at best. Finally, the energy requirements of these complexes require a lot of faith in the country’s future.
All that being said, the basic business idea of turning the place into a tourist centre worked for Las Vegas in the middle of a desert, so best of luck to them.
I have no idea whats the problem with you all. I am not finnish, nor Australian. In fact, I am Brazilian. English Russia is quite popular around here, despite of you.
This is really a place to make comments on the blog, or some kind of kindergarden of trolls?
Slap me? It would take you a long way from wherever you are…
And is quite interesting how everybody has balls behind desktops…
EnglishRussia… Is really… Trolls… With… Balls… Behind desktops…I am… Finnish…Australian… And… I… Have… Balls… Infact it… Is quite interesting … You… Have… Balls…Where ever you are…This is really a popular… place…despite of… Kindergarden… Trolls… With… Balls… Would take… Some… Kind…of… balls …to make comment on… EnglishRussia… Brazilian… Balls… Is popular… Around… Here… On the blog… Of… Balls… What’s the problem… Slap me
You are right. Most commenters here are children with no hair on their balls yet. But they do like to talk big!!! Without trealiing how silly and immature they sound. Most never even left their homecountry, I’m sure, Children. They will grow up, eventually..
Did you use a slang word for a male body part Taupey?
Finnish stop that right now!
I understand!
Why my comment is not here?
it’s not arabic gulf!!!
just and forever,persian gulf!
So, we cannot make comments here on how this”wonder” of the east is being built by deceived and enslaved people coming from poor countries. Very sad. And disappointing.
LOL, Why you keep changing my nick Finnish… don’t you like it? Why you touch my cookies like that, you suppose to be g@y remember?
Finnish does not control things around here!He has posted a page or 2 but he does not control the moderation or remove comments.2 years ago when I started to blog on this site it was necessary to type the word Stalin or Lenin to post a comment so the site would know you were a human. After a few months it changed to solving a simple math problem. That was flawed and now there is the moderation which is also flawed!I can write my first comment on this post and it will await moderation.I can write anything els but my first comment and it will post right away!!I type from the same computer with the same URL and the same mail adress-sometimes a different adress to try to get around the moderation which does not always work!
Thanks for the heads up Jason!
You are welcome Taup.
Leszarom Dubait!’1 szem szaloncukorra nincs pénzem hála a rablo tözsdén mások pénzét elbaszo Google!
Its useless. All my tries went to moderation. I give up.
I’ll be merciful, to you, whoever you are. After all, stuttering is a very sad disability.
Ha Ha Mr. Funny!
The capital of the UAE is Abu Dhabi.
You don’t have to be rich to enjoy Dubai. Dubai is driven by tourism and thus it’s only the luxurious parts of the city that are always advertised. Actually, no. It’s not only the luxurious parts of Dubai - its heritage (pearl diving for example) has also been promoted well by the city. It’s just that the media prefers the new Dubai. But that’s also been good for their economy, right?
NYC? Really? Well, at least in Dubai you won’t have to be scared all the time about being mugged in a dark alley and have triple/quadruple locks installed on your house doors.
Dubai may have a lot of negative sides - economically, even environmentally - but at least it has been doing far better things than creating wars or at least it isn’t well known for its crime rates or drug trafficking or whatever have you. The UAE rulers have also been working hard and achieving far greater things for their country AND THEIR PEOPLE than most countries. The pretty fast paced development of Dubai, and now, Abu Dhabi, is a big proof to that, don’t you think?
Your not a woman.
who’s not a woman?
Looks magically weird..
I have family staying in Dubai n I used to visit a lot.. Last visit was almost 4 years ago.. But I found it boring cuz I stayed for an entire summer in a desert..!!
I did realize that u are lost in Dubai if u dont have a car, and public transport is ok but I never used it.. Malls are awesome, lots of attractions for kids and adults are within a 2-3 hour radial drive from the city..
The beaches are heavenly with their white sand.. N the crowd everywhere is also really good.. Lots of fast food joints..
The Sheikh of Dubai is extremely rich and also very competitive.. No disrespect to him but he thinks he is God.. He wants the biggest everything in Dubai and he is going to keep building larger than life stuff…. Although I caught a glimpse of one of his sons and he looked really hot..
In short I could never live in Dubai.. Cuz I do believe its only for the supremely rich, unless u have a good job there!
There is a awful mistake in 2th pic(map),
2 times must seen Persian Gulf, not arabian,
refer to the wiki,
and all around the web and history.
Dubai looks good, but what the heck does it have to do with Russia?
漂亮的迪拜!
the billionaire’s ghetto
like a 10,000 a night hooker
all beautiful and full of pox
“while being on business, in the capital of the UAE, Dubai” DUBAI IS NOT THE CAPITAL!!! Abu Dhabi is, and i think if you went to dubai you will realy know which is the capital
i just read the whole thing, half of what is said is wrong. you need better definitions! waw this is NOT profesional
I must agree with Belkhair Ali.
I went to Dubai 2 months ago, and stayed at hotel Atlantis for one week. (Beau-ti-ful!)
We didn’t pay anything near $12.000. (My girlfriend, her two kids (age 3 & 7) and me!)
You can even go to the website and check the prices.
Hi all!
Dubai has oils, but not more than the Capital Abu Dhabi. Also Attractive or not, it depends on your visit proposes.
