To all those who live there and all those who have been, what is your favourite place in Moscow and why? It could be a street, a bar, even your house _________________ на раз поссать |

| Well... My favs are: my home without a doubt =P That aside I enjoy visiting parks... What about Red Square etc, I don't really like those, even though they're probably pnly known places. But they're always crowded, kinda dirty and so on. Not something I would be proud of. |

Hurray! I thought I was going to get a prize for the most unpopular thread. I do love Moscow parks. My favourite so far are Kolomenskoe park and Tsaritsino. I can understand what you mean about the centre of Moscow, but I still love it. I can clearly remember the first time I walked down Tverskaya and saw the Kremlin's towers in the distance, then walking into Red Square and just standing in awe. Red Square at night is pretty amazing also, seeing GUM and St. Basil's all lit up. _________________ на раз поссать |

Call me a shopaholic, which I am , but one of my favourites is a shopping mall called Okhotny Riad. It's near to the Red Square, Manezhaya Square and Alexandrovsky garden. |

I have several places in Moscow - the Japanese Garden is one of them, because it has nice landscapes uncommon for Russia. Also i like Kolomenskoye estate and any other places with wooden architecture - it`s because i like wooden architecture.
On the whole i don`t like Moscow - it`s faceless, to my mind. I advise you to have a look at some pics with Moscow of the 1900-1930`s - that was a fantastic city with its own charming style. Here http://moskva.kotoroy.net/panorams/ |
