Residential Areas of Pripyat: Forests In Place of Streets

"What photos people make in Pripyat or Chernobyl? Usually those are some well known land marks you can see on every photo - abandoned amusement park, a movie theater etc. All those landmarks are in one place and usually Chernobyl tours don't let people wander somewhere else. However personally I was always interesting in some "underground" Chernobyl life - places where you
could see day-to-day life of the people back in year 1986 (when the power plant exploded). So today during our trip to Pripyat we will go to these residential areas and will see the forests which has grown on the city lawns and other things", says Maxim, the visitor of the Pripyat area. Would you like to see this too? Then welcome inside!

Ukrainian Security Service General Grand Dad Showing Skills

This Ukrainian grand dad was a KGB (and then Ukrainian Security Service) general. Even that he is pretty old he still has some skills and someone has got him on video so we decided  to share this video with you. He says those are normal
AK-47 knives, "nothing special, just regular non-modified AK-47 bayonet knife". I am not sure exactly of his age, but this man is Konstantin Siry - was an Ukrainian anti-terrorist center officer. People call him "legendary".

Donetsk These Days

Donetsk these days is like this... The girl behind the camera, the kid, says "This is beautiful". Her mom responds: "What's beautiful??". Then hushing her daughter like her loud voice can attract the fire on

Inside of a Rocket Engines University

A guy has paid a visit to the Kharkiv University of Rocket Engine Building and saw what they had in the buildings for students to learn the mechanics of these things. He was really impressed with his visit, this is what he says: "In these photos is just a small fraction of what they have got in there! There is a
section the same size as a small town, all packed with old helicopters, rockets, radars, planes and even air-to-air refueling planes". This university has ten buildings, twelve dorm complexes and its own centralized water heating system. He has shared some photos from inside the complex.

Thousand Feet Underground: Salt Caves Used for Treatment

3 An Ukrainian Hogwarts

An Ukrainian Hogwarts

Ukrainian people call this place "Hogwarts" - they think this architectural creation reminds them of the well-known school of Harry Potter, and what's interesting is that this place is a school, too. A university in the city of Chernovtsy in Ukraine. It
was built in the late 19th century and was initially a residence and a school for the local church authority. Armahema, the photographer, went there and took the photos in detail, and has a story to tell that you can read inside.
