Alexander has travelled to Chernobyl nine times. He says that of course it looks pretty dramatic - all the empty houses, forest grown inside the house with bushes higher than a few stores, abandoned things and furniture in the apartments. But what touches him most are the abandoned little dolls that still can be found under loads of dirt, dry leaves, they are still there, as they
were left in 1986. "Epsecially I was moved by the dolls left in the empty kindergartens and pre-schools. Those dolls symbolize something that has been lost forever - the lost childhood. The open eyes of the dolls - they look at you and wait if you can change the things back, to the used and well known routine". Want to see more? Welcome inside:

I am not sure, but as far as I recall despite lots of abandoned places posted on this blog, we didn't feature any milk factories. In Soviet Russia milk factory was basically called a place which under the order of the Soviet State was producing different sort of milk products all under the same brand. Those could include a few types of milk of different fat contents, cottage cheese, sour cream, cream, ice cream, kefir and other
products made out of cultured milk. Surprisingly, those didn't produce any yogurt, and most of Soviet people didn't try yogurts in their life, until the USSR collapsed. Now this team of urban explorers lead by Vasili has travelled to one of those which lays abandoned from presently recent age - in 2012 he says it was totally closed, so this site he visited has both Soviet and Russian features inside:

Ivan, Russian blogger has visited a pretty unique place - a Shikotan island - belonging now to Russia but is constantly claimed by Japan as their land. It's not a big piece of
land - just 225 square km, and the population is 2,100. However see how beautifully abandoned old Soviet tanks match the nice scenery around! Let's go inside:

Aja, the blogger and the "digger" - the term they use to name a group of people who get into the "forbidden" places, mainly under ground, but not necessary, like for example this abandoned but still guarded space link satellite dish station. This one looks
pretty much different from outside from the ones we got used to - the single huge antennas and nothing else - here we can see a series of big and small antennas mounted on some sort of gears etc. Let's see what's inside, thanks to Aja we can:

Russian blogger Sergey has visited this town called "Karl Libnecht" in Kursk region of Russia - the place where one of the most intense tank battles of World War 2 took place and brought the story from there. Here what he says: "Before this was a happy place. People were working, on weekends people were taking a rest and walking around,
children were smiling. Now on the streets of Karl Libnecht you'll rarely see good smile. Before there were two giant factories here - the machine building plant and sugar factory. Those were economic giants of federal level. But now this is how the machine building factory looks like (above on the photo)". Let's read on!

Russian blogger Armahema has travelled to some place which we don't know much about. Again as in his previous travels (like this and this or this) Armahema has explored the place but left not much clue on where exactly is this located and what is the status of the structure. He is known for
getting to the places that are still very well guarded and not easy to sneak in, so he doesn't like to share much of information or personal detail. However we know that this is a chemical facility that used to produce substance called Epichlorohydrin. So lets see:

These TU-128 planes are pretty rare. In the 1970s, only ten planes were produced and this is probably the only one that survived. It was found at the plane repair plant in Rzhevsk,
Russia. They were used to train Soviet border guard interceptor pilots, and what made them particularly unique is that the instructor pilot's cockpit is on top of the plane.

Andrei Kronos, a blogger, got a chance to go to the city near Moscow with a camera and a wide-angle lens to shoot some photos of the old airplanes that have been
moth-balled for a while. The planes he saw there were TU-154 and AN-24 and he thoroughly photographed those from the outside, and more importantly, from the inside.

Most of our abandoned posts come from Russia and not many from other Soviet republics, even Ukraine, one of the largest ones, doesn't often send us pictures of abandoned stuff. This time a Moscow urban explorer, Sam Namos, while he was traveling to Ukraine has visited a local abandoned
factory and taken these photos. The place itself is an abandoned factory which produced electric vehicles. Not the modern ones like Teslas, etc, but rather electric trams and trolley buses. Some of them still stand in the warehouses of this place. Let's take a look!

"Tens of kilometers thru the snow, on foot. Barely walkable path thru the forest. Holding our breath we understand with each step we are getting closer and closer to the object. The place we made all this way is just around the corner". - this is how Ulter1or remembers his trip to this huge satellite abandoned complex deep in the woods. He, is like the other
explorator Armahema, doesn't give away his real name - they explore the places that are often forbidden to enter, so the secrecy might be a must for them. However the photos he bring back are purely awesome. Massive post inside, a huge - over 25 meters (or 75 feet!) in diameter abandoned scientific satellite dish just around the corner!
