The city has two cafes and one of them will probably close soon... No movie theatres, no night clubs... The city lives from plane to plane that arrive once in 2 weeks.
Everyone knows when the next plane arrives, cause it means that fresh food will appear in the shops. Prices here are unbelievably high but an average salary of a waitress, for example, is about 1000 US dollars. According to locals a 3 roomed flat could be changed for a ticket to Moscow...

The town of Kadykchan on Chukotka was inhabited by 7 000 people who worked at coal mines. Then 6 people died in an accident that occurred at one of the mines. The mines were closed and
people moved to other cities and towns. Their houses were burnt off to prevent the people from coming back. Today the town is inhabited by one old man who has 2 dogs.
