Snow Delivery

Yesterday in Moscow there was held Parallel Slalom FIS Champions Cup. The annual event is carried out in Moscow already for several years, each year in November. The jump is a huge construction of 60 meters high, 37 meters wide and 210 meters long (195/120/690 feet.) But there is one question, where did they get such an amount of snow for the event? Since this weekend weather wasn’t so cold, about 40 F, and snow was melting quite pacey in the streets of Moscow.

Soccer is very popular in Russia. You know how do they call it in Russian and in all Europe they call it “Football”. So they play it even in winter but in winter it often looks like this yesterday’s game of two Russian major teams “Shakhtor” and “Dinamo”. It’s almost a “snowccer”.

Russia’s and World’s Strongest Girl

Meet Varvara Akulova, the world’s strongest girl. Now she is 13, but most of the photos featured in this post depict her at the age of six. She already was a champion at the age of four and expressed unbelievable strength. She comes from a very poor family from Ukraine, they were always short on food and basic things - but nevertheless she started doing sports at the very early age and at the age of four she could lift 220 lbs weights! It was so fantastic that The Discovery channel has made a documentary about her - “The Worlds Strongest Girl”. Since then each year her personal weight grew by 2 lbs each year (2 kg a year) but her lifting power increased by 25 lbs (11 kg) each year.

Rafting contest with blow up sex dolls instead of rafts

A strange contest takes place in Leningrad region, on Vuoksa river. Hundreds of athletes compete in the rafting using blow up sex dolls instead of using standard rafts. The place where the competition is being held is also a well known site among common rafting fans. (more…)
