Museum of Long-Range Aviation
Dyagilevo is an air base in Ryazanskaya region, located 11 km to the west from Ryazan. There is the Distant Aviation Museum on the base where we will travel today.
Let’s start our excursion from TU-95, the soviet strategic missile bomber, one of the fastest planes that became a symbol of the Cold War. Russian Bear was made to attack anytime of a day, at any weather.
Two Train Stories [updated]
Today we have two photo series connected with trains. First one are shots from what was or still is a train museum in Pereslavl, Russia. It might even look more cool in such semi-abandoned condition.

The Sevastopol Defense Panorama
One of the most notable events involving the city is the Siege of Sevastopol (1854-1855) carried out by the British, French, Sardinian, and Turkish troops during the Crimean War, which lasted for 11 months. Despite its efforts, the Russian army had to leave its stronghold and evacuate over a pontoon bridge to the north shore of the inlet. The Russians had to sink their entire fleet to prevent it from falling into the hands of the enemy and at the same time to block the entrance of the Western ships into the inlet. When the enemy troops entered Sevastopol, they were faced with the ruins of a formerly glorious city. A panorama of the siege created by Franz Roubaud and which was restored after its destruction in 1942 is housed in a specially constructed circular building in the city. It portrays the situation in the height of the siege, on 18 June 1855.
It was made with two methods - the closer to the observer layers are made with the real objects - cannon balls, cannons, grass, fortification logs, guns - everything is real etc and further from the observer starts the epic drawing on the round walls of the panorama, creating the illusion that the observer is standing on the top of the hill in the center of the battle for the defense of Sevastopol.
Articles Made of Penknifes
This unusual collection is exhibited in the museum of Pavlovsk city. All these articles and sculptures are made of various penknifes, and the author says that most of them still can be opened and used as knifes.
Vodka Museum
I guess they did it right when opened the Museum of Vodka in Russia. Where else they had to do it?
There are 2707 different types of vodka there, some sorts are really rare, some not. We also had featured some weird Russian vodka packages on English Russia before, like AK-47 Vodka, Police Law Book Vodka, Triple Core Processor Vodka, so we could probably contribute to this museum too if they had a virtual branch in Internet. And by the way according to the last photo even Mr. President has visited this museum.

Kuntz-Kamera of St. Petersburg
“Kuntzkamera” it’s a museum in St. Petersburg. It’s a really strange place, was founded by Russian Tsar Peter the First. He collected different weird stuff all over the Russia to this museum: freaky people and animals preserved in alcohol, torture instruments, strange paintings and much more.
