The Worker and Kolkhoz Woman Monument Is Raised in Moscow

The famous sculpture has been installed onto its new pedestal on 28th November. It was originally created in 1937 by the soviet sculptor Vera Mukhina especially for the World Fair in Paris. New Technologies

As time passes by new technologies emerge, that’s a natural outcome of humanity progress. In Ukraine they have new technologies at their service. Sometimes it’s turns to be a bit too much as some say.
Here we have the monument to the Motherland erected in Cherkassy city shortly after the World War 2 ended to commemorate the memories of the dead in action heroes.
Russian Enema Monument

In Russia they have world’s first Enema Monument. It is a 800-pound solid bronze statue, erected in the small town near Stavropol city.
Story of one Photo

This shot was one of the most famous shots made by Russian photographers during World War 2. It was made in the ruins of Stalingrad city - the place where the most heavy city battles took place. Some historians say that after those battles near Staliningrad the Nazi invasion of Russia broke down.
The monument itself depicts Russian children dancing around a crocodile, looking so unreal with the traces of bullets on the sculptures and the burning ruins on the background.
Later, after the war the monument was rebuilt, even earlier than surrounding buildings.
April Lenin Prank

Today is April the First, the April’s Fool day, many people are busy doing jokes and pranks on their coleagues and friends.
In Russia this tradition is also recognized and many do funny and sometimes not-so-funny stuff.
Probably, the most loud prank that hit today’s Russia was a prank made by the group of youngsters of St.Petersburg.
They have found somewhere explosives, equaled to 300g TNT, and put it inside the iron steel Lenin monument standing on the city square across the railway station. Then at four o’clock in the morning they blew up the explosives so starting early morning of April, 1st 2009 all coming to St.Petersburg railway station or leaving thru it have seen a new look of Lenin monument, with a hole “in the back” as it was called by Russian media, but if to be honest that’s not back, but some body part that is lower than the back.
The Sins Monument

This monument in Moscow city depicts the children (standing in the middle) surrounded by filthy grown ups - each grown up has its own flaw or sin, one of the most common sins of the modern society, together they like stand around the innocent children that have nowhere to go - going to either side would lead to some kind of attachment.
No Monument, Please

This monument was built in Moscow, but caused a lot of protest. They are even protesting now, after it’s standing there for some time. Some people say it was included in the list of the ten ugliest structures in the world.
One artist decided to see how it look like if placed not in Moscow but in other places in the world.
Lenin on the Ball

Lenin standing on the ball is an idea for the momument that was used widely in Soviet Russia. Actually, the ball symbolizes the Earth globe.
They say that when people type the word “Lenin” 50% typing it for the first time would type “Lening” with the letter “g” at the end, you can try doing it someday, when you’ll forget about this already - because if you try right now I bet you’ll type it correctly.

Soviet Era Victims Museum

This is a strange monument complex in one of Russian parks. In the center of this complex there are different monuments from the Soviet Era stand, collected from different communist party locations and around it there is a stone storage for hundreds of stone heads looking from out of the bars at those communist art examples with despair. The Stalin statue by the way is already without a nose.
