Kids and Cigs

Russian kids with cigarettes 1

There was a story some time ago about people in UK or somewhere like that put the photos of their kid with a cigarette - just for fun and then were accused by social workers and police came to them etc.

Well, even a fast look across some popular Russian social networks revealed that this is not a problem for people there. “Kid? A Cigarette? Not a big business, really!”, people say. And some of the cigarettes are even lit.

Top 3 Russian Inappropriate Ads

Russian inappropriate commercials

Here is the selection of top three ads your kids better not see from this winter in Russia.

This first one is about World of Warcraft and it is the most “soft” in order not to show the more “hard” ones on the site’s front page. It advertises bank cards for one of Russian top banks and promises to everyone that “…ork of 80th level can be called career growth too.” I mean, your kids can get really wrong opinion on that WOW is OK and they can get serious with it in their further life. Anyways inside we have really inappropriate two others, may be bit not safe for work.

Suggestive Toys

Russian toys

Ever wondered how plush toys do look like in Russia. If they use same teddy bears as American kids have or they have some Ivan Bears?

I am not sure about little Winnie-the-Poohs but they for sure have some tigers and more, being done on this toy factory.

And no matter what toys they would make for Russian children they still are afraid of N1H1 virus using masks too.

Sex Drugs and Petersburg

Russian Junkies

One foreign lady photographer went down to the bottom of society of St. Petersburg Russia, where she has met children, junkies, prostitutes or often all together in one and made all those photos.

Sniffing poisonous glues inducing hallucinations seems to be one of the main fun for those kids.

The photos might look disturbing for someone..

Children of War

Children of War

From time to time photos of child soldiers in Africa holding AK-47s or some other kind of weapon appear here and there provoking outrage and compassion from the Western public. But just a few decades ago, during World War II, there were often occasions of Russian kids fighting in the regular army against the Nazis.

Generally speaking, children were not allowed to join the combat army—but many exceptions were made. Many kids tried to run away from their homes “to the War” but most such cases were eventually captured by military police and returned back to their homes.  While some did succeed in joining the army, it was often the case for these runaways to get lost in the woods or shot along their journey.

Also, from time to time, soldiers found children in the devastated and burnt down villages of the Soviet Union. While there was a directive for them to send such children to established orphanages, still sometimes such boys were simply incorporated into the active combat units.  Specially sized uniforms were tailored for them and they were entrusted with guns. Some of those boys joined the army at nine or eleven, and stayed with their regiment through all the war front, from Russia to Germany, until the war ended and they were discharged at fourteen or sixteen, often with medals of honor.

World Youngest Shovelman

Russian youngest skinner

Russian youngest skinner 2

The world’s smallest shovelman lives in Moscow, Russia. His name is Roman and he is just 3 years old, but he already knows how to operate big power shovel.

Actually he is doing it with ease and can do the job right. If you look from outside you could never have idea that it’s just a 3 y.o. baby controlling the machine. Truly amazing and you can see it on the video below:

The Brave Blonde and Cruel Cop

Today we have two pretty cool videos from Russia. First one (above) was made by surveylance cam and shows how guys from the SUV car forced the guy on Honda to pull over to the sideway because it looks like he got to close to them. They were pretty rude with him and then the brave blonde came into play.

The second video is about Russian policeman. He forced his children from an early age to do things like: walk on broken glass, cut hands with knives and more more more. In Russia he was not sued for this, on contrary he became a sort of star. Watch those crazy things his daughters do.

No Stroller in My Lobby

This story was discussed yesterday on Russian blogs. Lobbies in many Russian houses are very small, which comes from Soviet times, during that era Russian authorities thought that people don’t need any luxury or excess comfort so the lobby in the typical Soviet house of 70s was so to say not big. Also during 1960-70s a lot of “temporary” 5 stored houses were built. At that times there was a belief that Russian people just a few steps away from the total Communism and full abundance, and so that to commit those few steps state built houses just for a while, for a few years, that were planned to be replaced after the Communism would come into play to the big nice houses. Years passed, Soviet Union collapsed, state became capitalistic and all seemed to forget about the real purpose of those residential structures - almost all of these houses are still intact and inhabited and people even don’t mind living there.

So in one of such houses there lived a young mother leaving her stroller down. The neighbors were against, though were not saying this into her face, rather making some things when she was not looking, like, as she was saying:

“First they became putting different crap in my stroller: cigarette butts, water, other garbage. We cleared it up, and put an announcement asking neighbors to send all their questions directly to us and leave the stroller. The neighbors got quit for a while, but then they started another action: they became throwing the stroller downstairs, so we had to tie it to the wall. Then the neighbors decided to tie the stroller too with their own lock. We had to break their lock with applier. Then they spoiled our lock. So we decided to check who is that neighbor doing all this. Put the webcam, connected it to the PC to record the movement, put the stroller back down there and started watching. Of course, we have missed everything, but then checked the records and here are they…”

Then Russian readers of lady blog got divided in two parts. First expressed sympathy to the young mother and were cursing her neighbors, others on contrary started threads about how bad was she causing the neighbors discomfort with that baby stroller.

We have only the video to see.
