Miss Student Russia 2010
Looks like this winter is the time for different contests. We had Miss Russia, then Belarusian casting for their Miss 2010, and now they have Miss Student 2010 in Moscow where the girl students of Russian colleges and universities compete.

We’ve seen Miss Russia winners already, even a few times, but before those chosen ones step out onto the stage to join the contest there is much more work to be done, including choosing this few from thousands of the wannabe Russian girls.
Today we are having real life Belarussian girls “Miss 2010″ casting participants, from Belarus.
Beauty of Russia 2009
The “Beauty of Russia” contest is an alternative version of “Miss Russia” one with different owners and some minor differences but in general it’s all about the same - the most appealing young females from Russian regions and Moscow try to get the kitchy crown. All that makes a good post.

Miss World 2008 - Wrong Flag Again
It’s kind of not funny now. We had a few days ago the Russian Miss something contest winner who was holding Russian flag up-side-down so that it looked like Serbian flag. Now again - this time the glorious Miss World 2009 winner Xenia - first thing she made in airport after arriving to Moscow was taking the wrong flag! Though this time journalists corrected her but still there were a few minutes of total fail.

They had some Miss Something 2009 right at the Red Square in Moscow, Russia, next to the Kremlin and stuff, and then you know “And the winner is….” - so came the girl that won, and they gave her a flag… And just later they got understood how bad it was - the flag was not Russian one - like there the same colors but up-side-down - and in tri-color flags the order of the colors is of much importance. It’s a good tradition to post the “Miss Russia” contenstants each year here at English Russia. This time the contest was held not in Moscow but in a beautiful city of Petrozavodsk in Karelia.
