President of Chechnya Rides His Way
Someone got on video the column of the cars of the President of Chechnya. Chechnya was known for its war against Russia. Now they have a president loyal to Moscow. Look how he rides around his region.
On this video you can see that he likes a big company. Around fifty cars participate in his tour. All the roads are blocked by police prior to he departs. First go a few police cars then goes bunch of Porsche Cayenne SUVs of top staff and security, then some Mercedeses then again Porsche and Toyota SUVs. At the end of the column go minor staff on some other cars with smaller distances in between them. People say that’s its a cool show to see all those 60 cars passing by when you stand on the roadside.

Mercedes at Home
One Russian guy got so glued to his favorite Mercedes car that he couldn’t sell it when it became already too old for him. He ordered to cut it in pieces and mount the full length part of its body to the wall of his apartment before the renovation has started so that to implement it into the new look of his flat.
By the way this model of W140 Mercedes car was extremely popular in mid 90-s in Russia among fast-became-rich guys. It was often mentioned in the funny jokes about new arrived Russian rich guys, so maybe it was also a reason for this strange decision.

Some think that bloody mob meetings are back in 90s, but look what they do in Latvia, one of the most successful parts of ex-Soviet Union - it’s even in European Union now - they have blew up a Mercedes S Klasse this winter…
Russian Suzuki Mercedes
People in Russia like German cars, there is even a saying, something like: “One should have German car, Finnish house and Russian wife”. But German cars cost, so there are some workshops which make Mercedes SUVs from Suzuki cars. They take a Suzuki Samurai or Jimmy like on the picture below:

Stolen wheels
You probably remember this article, there was a large gallery (more than 40 photos) of top cars (mostly worth over $150,000 each) captured on the streets of Moscow, sometimes covered with snow. Here is another one. The guy probably left his Mercedes SL 600 AMG unattended and less fortunate citizens borrowed his AMG top class wheels (probably worth $2000 each).
