Falcon Hunt of Kazakhstan Nation
While in the North of Russia they have deer racing in the South of ex-USSR, now independent (and glorious, remember what Borat has said!) country of Kazakhstan they practice in falcon hunt.
Special trained falcons find the victims, chase, catch and bring the bodies to the hunters.
The best hunter gets TV and DVD as a present.
Abandoned Missile Launch Site
This is an Abandoned Missile Launch Site. What it differs from other of such kind is that it has launched really big rockets that traveled to orbit, and what else - it was not destroyed like all the other sites left by Soviet army but is left untouched in the desert of Kazakhstan for anyone to visit.
Kazakhstan Auto Import
While there is an auto-import boom in Russia, mainly getting second hand cars from the States, the nearby ex-Soviet countries import old trashy cars from Russian sellers, using the same trashy car-carrying trucks to get them to their place. This particular car import business is from Kazakhstan (KZ), came to Moscow for some old cars.
Playing Rambo Games
In “Rambo 3″ movie Sylvester Stallone took participation in quite strange but very rough game, where players should throw a dead body of a goat riding horses. So If you want to become as cool as Rambo 3, or 2, or just Stallone or whatever, you don’t need to go to Afganistan and fight against terrorists. Actually this game is very widespread in many Central Asian countries, including some former republics of the USSR, such as Tajikistan, where it is called buzkashi, Uzbekistan (ulak or kupkari), Kazakhstan (kopkar tartu) and Kirgizia. Some people in Russia call it “kozlodranie” from the words “koziol” (goat) and “drat’ ” (tear up). The rules of this game resemble in some way American football or Rugby with a goat instead of a ball. So if you like to play with dead animals - you are welcome to Kazakhstan and even farther.

Giant Snake of Kazakhstan
Everyone knows thanks to Cold War propaganda that Soviet Union was the land of bears, if not polar bears then just regular brown bears and if not bears then some more forest animals but for sure it was not land of giant snakes, but it seems that times are changing, now giant snakes can be met in Kazakhstan like this one…
