Seventies and Now (WTF!)
Here are a few shots of Russian youth from back in the Seventies. Mustaches and Beatle’s haircuts abound! For comparison, we also included some current day pictures of Russians (below).
Russian Hockey Cards
Remember those small cards you probably enjoyed collecting in the childhood with some random football, hockey or maybe golf players photos on them?
Thanks to the Soviet Government Russia kids of 70s also had the possibility enjoying this fun.
Unique Shots
These two photos are pretty unique. The first shows the tradition of Russian astronauts, according to it just before taking their seats inside of the space ship they have to take a leak upon the wheel of the bus which takes them to the launching site. I don’t know who started this tradition but they say all of them do, including these two from the latest Russian space program launch. This is the first time it has been caught on film for already 40 years of space launches.
Russian Fashion at 1979
These are scans from The Only Soviet Fashion Magazine called “Fashion” back from 1979…
A Soviet Shelter
This is a shelter back from the Soviet Era and Cold War when every house had a shelter nearby in case of America attacking. Most of the things there are 20-30 years old, including the batteries, lamps etc. The glass retorts with different chemicals were used for testing the air on the surface and determining the type of attack - different chemicals indicated different type of attack: nuclear, chemical, biochemical etc.

According to this top secret Russian document, which was unclassified recently Soviet military engineers were planning complete removal of North American continent.
