    2. hck says:

      looks nice (y)
soon I’ll see them with my own eyes, too

    3. Boris, help me to translate expression “тараканы в голове” in English (not directly, of course, but like English idiomatic expression or so on).

    4. Mattias says:

cool! i believe every large city should have its own large fountain.

    5. sascha says:

well, nice, but what is the difference to last summer’s fountains?

    6. 3apa3a says:

I dont see those fountains being “underwater”….on the water thats a different story….sad that the city i was born and raised spends money on such b/s…beautiful to look at i agree, but the money could and should be used elswhere….

      • Losha says:

Soon the ones at Pitergof will be under water, also.

        • 3apa3a says:

I hope not..Pitergof was the place to be at during the sumeer in my days….take the rocket and you are there..but with global warming, big mags, and mr cowboy tryin to sweep
through middle east thats a big possibility.

    7. How to translate into English the word “Мудак”?

    8. Dan says:

Weren’t these opened last year? I distinctly remember fountains placed in the river for the 9th of May.

    9. Looks like the gay division of the Russian Submarine Corps are setting off synchronized tie-dyed explosives as a display of technical aptitude. Boris, were you present during the exercises?

    10. Boris says:

How much money was wasted to attract more tourists to St. Petersburg?

      • This has nothing to do with our culture and heritage that visitors want to see. Lets offer live sex with animal shows and demonstrate the glory of inbreeding all over St. Petersburg.

        • You are Pathetic hck! This guy will stop at nothing to get his Nazi message across. Get a life hck.

          Viva Estonia!!

          • Itse Perkele says:

Wouldn’t it be better to have a password system in this site so all the dick munchers like hck and such can’t use other people’s names to spread their weird and twisted view of the world?

    11. adios says:

      пиздато

    12. Doug says:

A novel idea, although it appears that it would obstruct boat traffic.

    13. wackyruss says:

Sweet! I was in St. Petersburg this past summer! We took a boat ride on the Neva River!

The sky was all weird because we were so far north. It never completely got dark even at 1 o’clock in the morning…. we experienced The White Nights.

Freaking crazy place that Russia is…

    14. Foose says:

The fountains are fabulous! Peter the Great and Elizabeth Petrovna would have loved them!

    15. yana says:

It is so boring here!during two weeks all the same! Go to Polish sites! Mentally the miserable nations are so active! You will be really surprised!

      • Texas1 says:

Hi granny! How are you today?

        • yana says:

Hi! Today I brought a new car! Imagine your joke-military trank? Are you jealous!? I forgot about your spirituel and politased nature

        • yana says:

I bought a new car! Can you imagine it is not a military track or tank! You are jaelous? Sorry,I forgot about your unselfish soul!I will be in St-Petersburg next week and make picture of my car near these fontaines

          • Texas1 says:

What kind of car? That would be cool if you bought a new tank! I would like to see that. Will you share your pictures by uploading them on this site?

            Have a good day.

            • yana says:

BMW car.and I am going to upload the pictures here. As soon as all sujets here are from the last centery, the pictures from Russia must be much more interesting and intrigant and comment will be much more smart! Go to polish sites! They are so hungry and angry and so elegant and smart in comments about Russia, and you can discover many interesting things, for example discussion about possible dening visas for Russians to USA provoqed great scandal in Polish society(they are best friends, but have to obtain visas with difficulties) The Russians are richer-it was something for Polish!Go to polish sites -you will not regret!

    16. Starshii says:

And the fountains also play classical music! Sure, when they are on they look really nice, especially from the fortress side, but when they are not working it´s like scrap metal flowding on the river Neva. And I don´t even want to know how much they costed…

    17. jf long says:

This was installed last year.. Sure it’s pretty with all the lights but c’mon… did we REALLY need another freaking fountain in this city? I think not.

Some things are universal. There always seems to be money for crap like this but there isn’t any money for making this city more liveable…

…. I’m continually amazed at how it was possible for Russia to produce a city that has more billionaires than any other city in the world (Moscow)… yet they still can’t figure out how to get hot water to their people 12 months out of the year, or build a car with an automatic transmission.

But I guess that’s what makes life here so interesting.

    18. Texas1 says:

Why on Earth would anyone go to Russia when they could go to Estonia?

    19. vovse_ne says:

      Take me to this city!
I even went to the staniot but there were no tickets.
What a human?! I live in Moscow and just can’t go to St. Petersburg!..
      Блин!..

    20. Bullwinkle says:

Estonia don’t need no stinking fountains!

    21. Texas1 says:

      BORIS BEREZOVSKY IS SATAN!

    22. Texas1 says:

I appeal to the good people of Russia to demand the immediate imprisonment of Boris Berezovsky!

    23. Nice fountains, I say them when I visited SP last July!

Damn, I’d love to go back there!

    24. yana says:

Good night! Sweet dreams!-And-Good morning!Have a beautiful day! I regret, such “myau-myau”(like cats) is much better then BEEE, I really repent

    25. Texas1 says:

So are any of those Polish sites in English? Do you plan to come to USA? Will your husband get jealous if I give you a kiss?

    26. Bullwinkle says:

I found Yana first. Go find your own lady.

    27. Texas1 says:

      Boris, quit using my name.

    28. yana says:

I very often visit USA, and shall be there in two months, first it is necessary to see fontaines. Really in St. Petersburg lives my niece, she is going to get married-the car is for her! And my husband is French -they give kisses everywhere-everybody-everywhen-and it is great!!!

    29. yana says:

I am disorganised! But as said the great Roman “Amicus Plato sad magis amicus veritas!”-sorry for possible mistakes-ME-ME- I found you both! Kisses!
