Vintage New Year Postcards
These New Year postcards are back from the Soviet times.
Religion was banned in Soviet Russia so there was not a Christmas celebrated but a New Year was the main winter holiday.
It was always a special holiday, same as Christmas in Europe or USA.
Even 20 years after democratic changes started in Russia people still celebrate New Year more willingly than any other holidays.

Yes, there were better postcards, I didn’t saw any uncolored…
In soviet times poscards were so rare, that it was very plesent to receive one.
Many people have being even collecting them. My sister was fond of it. I still have this collection

No!!! We do NOT have any Santas in Russia! It’s Father Frost! Now you should know!
We often have such “d”ies. Especially on post cards, in the names of the books etc. It’s not common in every-day writing but some people like putting it in their writing)
