Aluminum is not a great material for building a warship from, as the Brits discovered with HMS Sheffield in the Falklands War. It has a high thermal conductivity, low melting point and will readily burn if it gets hot enough.
these boats reminds me to a type of boat from c&c red alert (dont rememeber the name, the relatively small type with anti-aircraft missiles)

I don’t know what happened, but one thing is for sure, the heat must have been immense. Just look at the steel. If you know the that steel melts at 1570°C !!!
