        What, no needles?

        This is a great beach!

        • Kirov says:

No one got the idea of installing a garbage container, as usual. Someone just pocketed the funds I think. End result: bad smell, rats, diseases.

What also strikes me all of a sudden is that in Russia men in general prefer to stand on the beach. Sometimes sitting, but lying down is rare. Not macho. I guess. I never lie down. Can not see the boobs then!!!!!

    2. Photos don’t work here

    3. Kirov says:

If false Kirov shows up, please ignore him and his worthless opinion (opinion of a red neck with ~ 7 years of education).

    4. FailMaster says:

      Koktebel for the WIN.

    5. Photo Maniac says:

Sorry, I was hungry and ate all of the pictures in this post.

    6. okeydokey says:

Walking on the beaches looking at no peaches?

    7. Lauren says:

      That’s a nasty beach.

    8. okeydokey says:

woh, not so peachy! i can smell it from here

    9. Bilosh says:

Westerners see trashes on beach - I smart! I see oppurtunities!!!! In photo 5 I see new dress for wife. iN foto 14 I see new crib for baby. Also what I think is new cassette for VCR! Look a like pay day to me!!!

    10. Andrei says:

another reason why i will not move back to russia: they almost NEVER clean up any dirty areas.

      • Kirov says:

True. Even if there was a budget for garbage collecting, it would end up in someone’s pocket. And no garbage bins. Be happy you do not smell this beach.

    11. Frank says:

Why don’t you guys get together and clean it up? That would be a nice beach if it weren’t for all the garbage.

      • pld says:

Hahahahaha. Amusing. Go visit Russia some day, and talk to some Russians - provided you catch a moment when one of them is not unconscious from the copious amounts of vodka everyone consumes since age three. Then you’ll understand.

    12. pimp says:

Drunk Russians are the reason for global worming.

    13. xXx says:

Holy shit, it looks like a waste dump.

    14. IronFist says:

Looks like a garbage pit in a third world country.

      Oh wait, it is!

    15. Rogue says:

Disaster beach! Bizzare to know that there’s at least one Manchester Utd fan in Vladivostok - See pic 2 bottom right! My guess is it’s not a beach towel but part of the rubbish! Ha!

    16. Misha@Work says:

Nice! A clear case of ‘houlyara’ (the plague) come up. But I suppose if you get enough tidal action it can wash it all out to sea & swirl in the Pacific plastic Sea.

    17. zipp says:

so? there’s some rubbish collected in one spot… it get picked up in the morning .. end of story.

    18. If i was living in fucking vladivostok, i wouldnt give a shit about some trash at the beach. Its the fucking end of the world where they live, why would you give a shit?
All you should do is smoke a joint and enjoy the water.

      good night and good luck!

    19. pimp says:

I was born in the garbage!

    20. Torex says:

Most beautiful beach i ever seen.dirty people dirty environment.i think Russians will sink in their own shit.

    21. Kirov says:

God damn it, what are worthless trolls like Torex talking about? The garbage gets gathered in piles, and removed. Geez.

Had EnglishRussia stopped being such a popularist, lying site they would have made it clear.

    22. I like to step/dodge human shit mixed with sand… very amusing :)

    23. Kirov says:

Some subversive elements attending my class refused to collect the garbage, saying there were too many used preservatives full of gooey stuff. They said the school doctor warned them not to touch used preservatives and/or needles they find.
I sent a report to the Supreme Soviet suggesting there are no transmissible diseases in our country and thus the doctor should be dealt with accordingly, but it seems Comrade Brezhnew is otherwise preoccupied :-(

    24. krakatoa says:

The owner of this blog hates Russia.

      • Krizt says:

I would hate it also, if I was living in it.
Maybe not the history, the nature, culture… but I would hate the mess, corruption, people’s attitude.

    25. T Rose says:

Now, I’m no ignorant American who loves bashing on Russia… my wife is Russian, I’ve visited the country, and I don’t think it’s all bad…

      But…

C’mon, that’s just gross. You folks saying “Oh it’s ok, they put it in a pile and collect it in the morning” are just being ridiculous. No excuse for being a slob.
You know what my family does when we go to the beach? We bring a bag and put all our garbage in it, then take it with us when we leave. Easy.

Nobody throws their cigarette butts and garbage all over. Maybe one or two douchebags, but people would quickly tell them off.
You can go to a packed beach in America with no lifeguards or security, and see almost no garbage… why can’t Russians take care of their beaches?

      • Kirov says:

        That is good approach!!
In Russia we do it different. Collecting garbage is not done by us, but someone else. We are in different league.

      • Kirov says:

        1. Ignore the False Kirov - he is worthless trash.
        2. T Rose, srsly. In America, there are many beaches completely destroyed by garbage (California-Flordia I think), or so I have red. At least the garbage gets removed here…

        • T Rose says:

Well, I haven’t been to beaches in Florida or California so I can’t speak for them. The beaches I’ve visited in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Virginia were all clean, though.

Regardless- People EVERYWHERE, not just Russians, should pick up after themselves.

        • veteran says:

You must be brainwashed. I’ve never seen a polluted beach in the US - fines are very very high and the law is strictly enforced. Garbage is collected as it should. This Russian beach is a disgrace and I’m glad I don’t have to smell it. It is due to a poor attitude “Not my problem, dude”.
Judging from your idiotic comments you are also suffering from this attitude. But you are probably still very young, so you can change !!

    26. Kelso says:

Why doesn’t the municipality make arrangements for beach clean up? Come on Russia, join the first world!

    27. Kirov says:

Some of the garbage is from me when I was on this beach 22 months ago!

    28. Anon says:

Idiotic to dump rubbish like that.

    29. Mike says:

Now I understand why so many Russian girls go to Jurmala, Palanga, and some of the other Baltic resorts. Sadly, before I had thought they came to the Baltic to find my wang, so we were all convinced.

Russian men don’t always stand on the beach… sometimes they lay, but only at clean beaches.

I would much rather be at a beach full of Russians than Americans. You don’t see as many troubles, have a better time, and the girls play fast and loose. Oh yeah, no black people, either.

    30. cm says:

White trash right there, alright (and I don’t mean the rubish!)!

Why don’t you just incinerate them together with their trash - it would be cathartic, I’d say.

    31. Valentina says:

To tell the truth, that’s not the most favorite beach of Vladivostok. It’s a place for people who just don’t have any opportunity to go countryside to the clean beatiful beaches washed with terrific green-blue ocean! Outskirts of Vladivostok are fascinating!

      P.S. I’m from Vladivostok…

    32. Paul says:

This is bullshit. There are plenty of clean and uncrowded beaches in Vladivostok. It’s not a big deal to take some pictures of a bad one and post them. I don’t mean that Vladivostok is heaven but it is definitely not like it is shown here. Everyone enjoys watching how bad the life in other places is, but look around! There are many problems near your place and it can also be shown the way it is shown here!

      • Joe Ravioli says:

I’m inclined to believe that, and obviously one can find litter anywhere, but seriously! I’ve never seen a beach, or pictures of a beach, quite this bad in the US or anywhere in “the West”. If a garbage scow just spilled maybe. But how hard is it to pick up after yourself? This looks as bad or worse as any ghetto scene in the US!

        • Lin says:

You know, it seems to me, that they’ve published the photos of the most dirty beach in Vladivosot and obviously no the MOST POPULAR one. It’s hard to judge about nature and eco-system by a couple of photos. As a citizen, I can say, that this year almost all beaches around our city are clean and well-groomed.

    33. CONNIE says:

If the beach is that diry and gross what is floating around in the water?

    34. blah says:

that’s russians. they like to shit in their own nest. even dogs won’t do it

    35. SSSR says:

I will zoom in on this beach every time Google Earth is updated.

Then I will know if the same trash is always there!

    36. Miss Ukraina says:

I am glad Yalta and Evpatoria are not THAT polluted

    37. My wife is Russian and she told me even in fastfood restaurants like McDonalds Russians never goes with the trash trey to the trash dissposal, but sit there and wait untill someone cleans it up for them. Like with this beach, how much would it take for these people to clean up after themselfs!? If the government wont do it have some pride and keep your shit clean yourselfs. But i guess its better to attract rats and bacteria.

    38. ___ says:

Whoa! The men are not wearing those tight speedo swim suits you see in every other beach picture posted on here.

    39. Florida Joe says:

I am a recent viewer to this website and have enjoyed it immensely. The subjects, photos, and commentary (both good and not so…) have given me more insight. The visitors have shown all the humor, proudness and frustration that is part of all peoples - regardless of the country of origin. Other than the entertainment value, perhaps this site is meant to share ideas and encouragement.

These photos of Vladivostok beach is its own commentary. I’m inclined to agree with the former comments from “T Rose”. And to refute the comment from …the “real Kirov”.

Here, where I live, we know a thing or two about beaches. For the last twenty years our local government, with voter approval, has used a one half of one percent (.005%) sales tax to purchase, with matching funds, an extra 90,000 acres. This is for the public use as parks, horseback riding trails, fishing areas (salt & fresh), water conservation and every ocean front beach not in private hands. To view one or more of these beaches, the address is: http://www.evsmartin.com/martin.htm . The site has streaming video as well as weather conditions and two links to other beaches. I will look forward to “the real Kirov” responce.

    40. Ngern says:

Right now, Russia has absolutely become a real third world.

    41. Krizt says:

I am from Latvia, former USSR and this is EXACTLY why we don’t like Russians, which are a big minority here. The problem is their attitude. Who would throw garbage in PILES (”to collect it in the morning) instead of searching for the garbage bin or putting it in the bags?
When we have an event in a city center where there are a lot of Russian people (demonstration, concert of Russian band, celebration of Victory day), you know, that afterwards, you will have to walk through piles and piles of garbage, empty and broken bottles. In case of a Latvian concert - there is garbage, but only from place to place, and never whole LAYER of garbage. Well I am in no way against Russians, I have Russian friends and my own grand mother is Russian, but, come on, there is something wrong with your culture, you have to admit it.
On the other hand, about 6-7 years ago it was much worse.

    42. obwala says:

And to think i complain about bondi beach!!!
So lucky to live in australia.

    43. History Guy says:

How many gave their lives for Russia?

So that these modern pigs could roll around in garbage?

      For Shame.

    44. Ernest says:

Russians have now been travelling in big numbers all over the world almost 20 years. I have noticed that they have already started to export their ”Russian cleanliness”.
How can people live in such s..t?

    45. Denner says:

Shame on you Russian People! Beaches here in Brazil is thousands times clean and beautiful. How people can stay several hours in a place full of garbage? Come on?! Let’s clean this beach! What the fuck is that?!

    46. First of all VLADIVOSTOK one of the beautiful city on the Russian Far East. There are Russian part of the Sea of Japan, perfect and unique nature and sea site. VLADIVOSTOK is much developed city, 90 present of population posses the Japanese vehicle and traveling around. Just refer to the internet to find it out, printing VLADIVOSTOK

Who posts “Royal Beach” such bloody pictures here? This is LIE!
This is NOT the most favorite beach of Vladivostok, its located just two-step from industrial area and all dwellers are there.
People say it is the most favorite beach of Vladivostok. This is LIE!
There are NOT many people spending their summer vacations there. Ballocks!
People come to enjoy the sun beams and water on different famous beach named LAZURNY BEREG ( SHAMARA old name), mentioned point really clean and beautiful located one hour drive from the city and there really clear water, around five km of send, good environment &service and so on.
Moreover, there are so many islands around “Peter the Great Bay” and some of them are really paradise, the ferry service is welcome.

    48. You are don’t right when you say that awful worlds about my country and my city. I live in Vladivostok and i can say that its true that our city is dirty BUT not everywhere. This photo have been made at the beach which WAS one of the most popular in the city. But now there is a construction site of bridge to Russian Island and only people who leave nearly from it go there. Besides, have you ever been on the beaches of Chinese resorts? For example Dalian? I have been there this summer. They Pearl beaches is overcrowded by rubbish, Chinese people always eat and litter on the beach and looks like pigs, really!
There are many more popular and clean beaches in Vladivostok. For example Shamora, Lighthouse and etc. There is also very dirty beach opposite this place. It called Tihaia (silence) bay. There are piles of litter, but water is SO clean that you can see bottom even you are deep in the sea.
We leave not so good as we would like and thats why we drink a lot of alcohol and those of it ilk. But we are not so bad as you think. We are not pigs. Just everywhere are problems.

    49. deeper says:

We are taken by skin diving on this beach many years successively. Despite that in photos a beach not absolutely pure, but water much more clean on it - a transparency to 15 metres.

    50. The M says:

You should have seen Danube ‘beaches’ in Belgrade a few years back…
But seriously, if the amount of garbage and people with 2nd degree burns wasn’t so…large, Vladivostok would be a really beautiful place.

    51. Stout Viking says:

      Can you say “ЗАСРАНЦЫ!” ?

I know this happens worldwide but the only thing to blame is education these people got at home. If during the Soviet Union they’d get heavily fined or jailed for littering, then nowadays no one cares.

It’s not because of no garbage container present. It’s that these people are pigs. I too been to beaches and forests with no garbage cans around, so I always carry a plastic bag with me to collect my garbage (and sometimes trash left by others) and carry it out of the site and dispose of it in a proper manner: IN THE BIN.

    52. Im an Afro-American female married to a Russian from Vladivostok.

Stop the racism and end pollution! We have advanced socially and economically, now that we have a black President in America. You can’t come here with those prejudice attitudes. We won’t tolerant it. Even the Russian Americans are decent cool people. Have some pride and dignity.

    53. Dennis says:

Last time id been there 10 years ago and it was n`t looking so terrible as on this pics…
what can i say anymore SHAME to those big cheese dudes which one take the wage monthly and do nothing sitting at chairs. bastards!!!
actually XXI century is going on and those PIGS are have a chance for surfing wireless internet on the beach and stay without care in the dirt…bah…
the problem is not around us, it`s inside of us!!!
what a weird world tho !!!

btw i`ve finding that this site`s owner is pure russia hater cuz each of any blog are showing russia as worst one country…duh!!!
