The Hole From a Bullet

This is the photo from the Russian army museum.

One can see here a big hole in what was once a helicopter facing part. This hole was made by a machine gun bullet that can be seen inside the hole.

The hole itself tens times bigger than a bullet.

Anybody who had encroached upon my Russian ass will have such a hole is his stomach! La Russophobe, have you seen? :)

    2. Anton says:

      Гусары, молчать! :)

    3. Flippy says:

That’s nothing compaired to what an American Barret .50 cal sniper rifle will do to you. It is the only gun that can slice a person in half and then throw his body 10-25 meters in to the air. All of that damage is done in one shot that hits him before anyone ever hears the bang from the gun.

Check out this video, it was taken from over one mile or about 2,000 meters away.

What happened to action reaction m8? what happens to the shooter is it blasts the target 25 meters in the air while hitting it with such a small surface area , the shooter should probably fly away somwhere…don’t lie fool.

      2Flippy: You really stupid?
Compare also the handle and a pencil

    5. ANTON: Your crude bloodthirsty attitude shows clearly why Russia is alienated from the entire world and on a path to doom, its population losing 1 million every year. You’d better spend your time worrying when will be the next time that the Chechen rebels put a hole like that in ANOTHER Russian helicopter, or when the next Russian commercial airliner will drop out of the sky, killing hundreds.

    6. Anton says:

      La Russophobe:
Besides being paranoid, you’re completely humourless in addition.

    7. ANTON: If you consider it “funny” to joke about someone being shot, then I’d say you’re the one who has no sense of humor. But then, human life has a different value inside Russia than outside it.

    8. Anton says:

..and most of bllody American movie production confirms that undeniable fact! I can “joke about someone being shot” although schoolchildren here don’t shoot their schoolmates like it happens in US several times per year.
So where does real “crude bloodthirsty attitude” lives?

    9. Eskafolon says:

Powerfully. But also it is no wonder. No reservation on MI is present..

    11. David Webb says:

Actually, just for the person who posted about the .50 BSR(S), the 14.5mm cannon round that made that hole is actually a little wider than .56 caliber. So, a larger round meant for a distinctly different job (this was either an GA or AA cannon, and since you mention the power of the BSR(S), that is because it is not a soft-target weapon. It is meant to destroy armored and unarmored vehicles, and safely remove enemy long-riflemen). And in case anybody was wondering, the size of the hole is actually not due to the explosive charge or the body of the shell itself. A projectile at that speed pushes hypercompressed air in front of it- this creates very high temperatures in front of the shell, and the heat and actual pressurized air make most of that hole- that is why there is no significant pockmarking around the point of entry.

Just a little helpful tip from the All-Seeing Pie-In-The-Sky. Hope you don’t mind.
