Russian girls are always the topic of high interest here, and well we can understand this, but what you might see here today is for sure the sickest thing in which you’ve seen the Russian girls involved.
I wish we didn’t show it to you, but it became so huge in Russia that we just couldn’t keep it out. These photos have appeared on the pages of this girl just “for fun” and soon became all over, people passed the link to show the weirdness to their friends.
This just proves once again that PETA is something that never heard of in Russia, I warn you, better not to enter if you can’t stand blood and feel pity for dogs, if you have no guts for this don’t press more.

This girl from Ukraine not from russia. It’s just a lesson in the institute colledge they mus prepare an skeleton of the some animal many students made the rats or lambs. But she found a killed dog on the road and just use the chance to prepare the dogs skeleton. May be it would be better not to joke with it.
Well, this must be the most commented post ever … Now, what if this girl was really a vet student preparing a dog skeleton. It’s certainly distasteful, but nothing very different from the kind of morbid humor seen among medicine students cropping up from time to time.
Such a paradox of Internet that people wants to believe in some pictures out of context while being pathologically skeptic about things like the moon landing or the Holocaust.
Anyway, the infamous “hammer video” and the “zippo cat” leave nothing to imagination. Those are really sad, though they only depict sickness among slavic people (whereas it’s not uncommon to see it all around the world).
Aaaaaaaah - so that’s what it is! I knew there had to be a reason. If she’s a vet student prepping a road-kill specimen then where’s the big deal? When in a rather grotesque situation we all know the tendency to make up for it with a bit of daft humor (autopsy room humor). Good for her to be able to do it at all rather than freaking out like most people! Probably means she will be very good at what she is doing. Trust the internet to go potty over something like this without the faintest idea of what is actually going on - in the process revealing just how sick, thoughtless and judgmental the world actually is! The responses are far more disturbing than the images themselves are!

Firstly, for every image like that you can find an equally outrageous photo from other corners of the world, including America, so it’s not specific to Russia.
Secondly, we do those things to cows, rabbits, and other meat animals in slaughterhouses. Why not dogs? Because they’re man’s best friends and they’re smart and loyal? Well, the French eat horse meat…
Thirdly, chances are the dog was already dead when those photos were taken (I sincerely hope so, at least). Some might say it’s black humor, other might find it disgusting or shocking or tasteless, but there’s probably nothing illegal in it.
The question that I ask myself is “Who’s holding the camera?”.

Before anyone jumps to conclusions about animal brutality, it’s more likely the dog died of natural causes or was killed by a car, and they wanted to preserve the memory of their pet by, somewhat morbidly, harvesting it’s skull and possibly other skeletal components by placing them in a pot of water and boiling off the flesh.
Recording the skinning process was perhaps a trifle tasteless. Putting the pictures online, even in an out-of-the-way blog, was exceptionally stupid, given the tremendous backlash they will suffer from dog-loving people who will assume they tortured an innocent pet.

Exactly my thought. I had a friend who was studying veterinary and sometimes he and some colleagues packed together to train on dead sheep. In fact, they did this on all kinds of animals they could get their hands on, specially on the school. Horses, dogs, … Even a crocodile, once.

Uhg, I saw the first picture and skipped the rest. Dog’s are “man’s best friend” and are closer to humans than other animals, they are not generally considered a food animal, that’s why this is so disgusting. A real dog lover would be as disgusted as if seeing a human dissected.

Well, that is a common psychological reaction, I think it’s called a transfer (not sure). Of course, pointing out someone’s elses fault doesn’t justify one’s own, but it’s used to show that not everyone is in position of giving morality lessons to the subject. In other words, it’s used to denounce hypocrisy.

Agreeing with people who wrote down here, some cultures eat horse and dog meat (remembering Indians pet cows also). And I had a python (she never ate my rabbits, but used to eat little rodents, like mice).
I could live eating only vegetables, but I like steaks, fish and chicken.

I had an American friend who couldn’t stand the idea of eating ducks. WTF? Some can’t stand eating horses–well in Russia people do eat horses. In Asia they do eat dogs and cats. It’s all depends on the culture. I grew up in Russia, and I remember that rabbits on the market always had one unskinned paw to prove it’s a rabit and not a cat (cause cats aren’t a food item in Russia). Some people keep pigs as pets… well others eat them, again it’s individual choice. It’s pointless to talk about it, to each its own. If you don’t like skinned dogs, just don’t look for christ’s sake. You haven’t seen what happens at Medical school autopsies I guess and the fun students are having.

The only weird thing is, where they are doing it. Looks like a dorm room. I would have expected a proper lab. Also the last picture is them putting the bones in a mixture to strip all other organic material from the bones.

Nothing uncommon with doing it in a dorm room - in my school some medstudent had to take a human head to the dorm to finish on his assignement - and it is not a street legend. Wasn’t fun for other guys who lived there though.

So by taking these facts(theorie?) the dog died agonisignly with out any reason and of having no signs of illness or broken bones so the girls literally is psycho(but there now you, also many people have fucked up past which signifies their future and present so something must of happened with her in past…)

I grew up on a ranch and butchering animals for food is one thing. We did not play with the dead animals or take disturbing pictures of the process either. If your going to be a vet or dr you dont take pictures of your cadaver out of moral respect for the dead. Some things are just wrong. This has nothing to do with one country or another. They were interviewed and were dismissive of all the fuss (at least one of them) - the responsible from the school condemned it.

Hello, the problem with these images is not the nationality that is attached to them, but rather the message ir sends. As a vegan, i agree with some of the statements that if it were a animal which most people in the western world consume, there would be less discussion involved. What bothers me so much about this is her facial expression and the fact that no one knows under which circumstances the dog had to die.Please understand that many of us really do love animals and are apalled by the insensitivity with which many members of our species treat and disrespect them. This discussion IS NOT about eating meat or the polarities of the human species. It is however whether we should tolerate this kind of blatant display of bloodlust amongst our kind. Please do not just judge and think we are misanthropologists because we are standing up for the animals’ rights. People like myself believe that regardless of the species, it is the ACT that defines the crime, not who or what we do it to.
I’ll take the buy that it was dead to begin with, because, in the first photo, where the dog is alive, it’s a different dog…it’s a german shepherd. The dead dog is black and white…it has a white strip down it’s face.
Natalie, I, too, am vegan, and find these pictures disturbing. Even more disturbing to me than the pictures though, is the joy on her face, as you said. That, to me, is worse. I’m forwarding to PETA, though they probably already have them. Even if it’s true that a school has you do this, it’s wrong.

Personally, I find this sick. However I eat meat but do not want to see how the meat I eat is slaughtered. That being said, I don’t know if I could eat another person. If you have a pet in your family, you get emotionally attached to the pet (unless you’re psycho) and could never slaughter and eat it no more than you could slaughter and eat your siblings.
