I’m with you. People in the U.S. and other Western countries draw conclusions and stereotype Russians in one swift low blow.
In referece to the current state of affairs in Russia, irregardless of the many mistakes political leaders have made–and continue to make–I can say I admire Vladimir Putin. Yes, yes, I know…he’s was not near to an ideal leader, nor is he perfect. But he brought Russia from the brink of political insignificance in the eyes of the world–no small task. Russia is at the least respected once again for its military might. And that is something.
And it’s better than what we (in the U.S.) had for eight years–a self-righteous, war mongering, alcoholic, pseudo-Christian whom b&tt-f*#ked every citizen not in the 1 percent which controls most of the wealth, along with eroding (perhaps permanently), the U.S. Constitution and basic human rights by convincing the lot of them at both the Congress and the Senate to implement the Patriot Act.
(Yeah–we’re f&cked. It’s not ‘America’ as previously known–we’re in a whole new different government, neither Democratic, Socialist, or a Monarchy.)

Funny how people see these pics and DON’T see what is essentially a bunch of kids playing in a glorified fire hydrant. And check out what they’re wearing-jeans (did you catch the Slipknot t-shirt?) and gasp! dresses! The kids in my neighborhood can’t get out of their pajamas to go spend the day outside.

that’s proper summer fun in the city! Austria f.e. has short and hot summers too but authorities there are pissed about foam in fountains
