Mess with the Best…
Yesterday in the news there was a story about Russian soldier who was beaten to death by other soldiers while on the exam to get accepted to Special Forces service.
It comes out that they have a special tradition on those exams when the wannabe soldier have to face a few of Russian active service special force desperados for a given amount of minutes, and should not get down. I don’t know have the soldier in question got down or not, but he died as a result of the “exam”.
And here are some photos of those who were more fortunate than him and passed the exam.

The commentary has the usual theme. Russia bad. I have yet to see the critics of Russia and her army actually get out there and do it. Initiations take place in all armies in one form or another. The question is are you tough enough for them? Do you have the guts?

Soem facts: in the kazernes more boys die during the army-initiation than during battle. In Afghanistan, during 10 years of battle around 10000 russians man were killed. Everybody talks about it. In that same period, at home, every YEAR 14000 women were beaten to death by their husbands. Every 40 minutes a woman is killed by her drunk partner!! Nobody talks about that!

Well, first of all it’s not a Russian army but Ukranian army from Sebostopol. And this is not a training, it’s some kind of show for army open doors to initiate young people to go to the army. Actually Savastopol does belong to Russia as there were no appropriate documents signed when Kruschev decided to give this present to Ukraine just to get elected as you know he was Ukrainian, and most of the politburo were Ukrainian, so don’t blame Russia too much if there were many Ukrainians there too, don’t talk of the 1925 starvations as a genocide although I don’t know how many Ukrainians there were in the politburo back then, probably only a few.

Russian special forces are widely acknowledged around the world as The Best. The only other SF that even comes close are the Australian SAS - which is why the US secretly seconded them into Afghanistan BEFORE the American Cowards went in themselves.

What a bunch of cocks.Somebody should explain to them that breaking bits of wood with your head is an unlikely requirement for a Special Forces soldier. Can you think of any circumstance when you might need it? And why are they wearing children’s pyjamas?
The truth is - there is nothing special about Russian special forces. Yes, they are fit but no better than US Marines. And it is only the fron line soldiers. Look at their officers in the late 20’s - they are fat and out of shape.
They stay off the forests in Chechnya just like all the other branches.
Interesting. Russia is a part of Europe and also a part of Asia. They like martial arts which is good for interrogation after capturing enemy prisoners. Martial arts is not good for any CQB situation but make trainees more aggressive and agile in any situation.
