Cool Modern Art

Russian art studio has some series of works illustrating some aspects of Russian life, working in modern realistic style. The first one is a bright depiction of how Russian hunt looked like through the history.

And another one are still-life paintings real Russian men should have on their walls.

OMG the maintenance man outside my house smells so bad i can smell him in my house even with the windows and doors shut
wow he must stink really bad because Indias roads are paved in shit and you guys make poos all over yourselves
This is not modern art. These so called “modern paintings” were mass produced as carpets to be hanged on the wall as decorations. Almost every household during soviet times had at least one of these. I think ER admin is very young and don’t remember soviet times.
Although still slightly better than that abomination of art called “socrealism”. Artistic taste must be very rare in russia.
Life in the america must be so dull for you nine germany.

Life in the baltic region must be so dull for you nine germany

All but one is about killing - what’s with that?
Which one is not about killing?
OOPS - I missed the hunter with the elk.
Not cool, not modern.
Incredibly kitschy. Where is a still-life with a basket full of fish and a stick of dynamite?

Thanks for the info. I was wondering why the ammo clip had such a funky shape.
Freudian allusions intentional, I presume?
:D
BTW, can’t recognize the piece in #4 of the second series. What is it, anyways?
That’s a VSS “Vintorez” special-purpose sniper rifle, quite a neat piece of equipment.
Hmm I quite like some of the first set, hunting pictures are always pretty much in demand in england now we arent allowed to hunt fox any more.
The second set are gorgeous, love the vivacity of the colours and the artist,in my opinion,is very talented.
Great post guys,keep it up!
I likes the one with the AK. Need that for my crib!!
The 3rd one has beautiful colors with the pink reflection on the snow.
Cool modern kitch
