“Ekranoplanes” on the Rest
We wrote about Russian “Ekranoplanes” here.
Here is one of them caught on the rest, maybe that’s his last stop so on eternal rest.
There is also a submarine on the last photo. Is it watching so nobody disturbed them?

It did fly
The “Plane” was not designed to fly. It was designed to glide above the water at a fast rate of speed using a lifting bodies ground effects. It would come in fast and beach it’s self and discharge heavy loads and troops.

erm its much better than a boeing since this can land on water and travel on it but boeing tend to burst into flames when it rains( it doesnt burst into flames but it shows its water caperbilerties)
Where are these pictures from? And how new are these pics? IE is there a chance to see a ekranoplan before they get converted to scrap metal?
keitai - picture is from Kaspiysk. There were 2 visible ekranoplanes on googlemaps. But now after map update there is only one.

There gonna be modernizations as far i heard for 10 of them and then in 2025 or 30 they gonna be removed and replaced by brand new
no, full-scale GEV, called “Lun”, produced not only in carrier strike verison. there also heavvy ASW model and assault transport machine, rescue machine.
all with tremendous operational range and other specs.
especially awesoe for 1st genertion of GEV.
