Canon Vacuum Cleaners

fake canon vacuum cleaners

Recently Russian service centers of Canon have started receiving complains from the people having the troubles with their Canon… vacuum cleaners.

It seems that one large electronics supplier in Russia has bought somewhere what they truely believed to be Canon Vacuum Cleaners, and even advertised them. So many bought intrigued by the brand name and overall feeling to get something cool from Canon.

Now it seems it was a nice planned action to sell thousands of some third party, probably Chinese vacuum cleaners labeled as “Canon”, having the manual and boxes looking like actual Canon stuff.

          Miss India,

Today is an important day! Your marks for this post are 8/10! Fireworks and parties to follow!

Posting a factually correct coment = 8 marks.

The only reason I haven’t given you ten is because you have let your personal views cloud your work. It would have been 10/10 if you had stopped yourself from adding Chinks (minus one for racism) and “ba ha ha :(” (minus one for being a bit nasty).

On the whole though, I am very pleased. Zero to 8 marks in three lessons!

          Keep it up!

The laws and inspections that keep these things out of the US don’t do anything for Russia. It seems that the Asians are dumping whatever they can’t sell to the US to Russia - like that sick pig joke of a toy a while back.

    6. maxD says:

Unfortunately. true. Import taxes are very high and everybody involved in importing wants a piece of the cake [customs officers are no. 1 here, demanding bribes of course] so the product will be very expensive once it arrives in the shop.
So importers look for cheaper, if not the cheapest alternatives and invent ‘brands’ like this one on the spot. The consumer is the one getting fucked in the end, but who cares… those consumers hardly ever open their mouths and in general just accept their fate… Vsjo normalno, da…

Recently customs confiscated 40,000 Nokia mobile phones [out of a shipment of 50,000] because ’something was wrong with them, they were not according to the rules’. Appeals from the importer had no effect, of course. 4 weeks later the phones [serial numbers were registered, of course] started popping up on markets and stalls, for sale for 60% of the retail price. Customs = criminals.

MaxD, I’m sure you believe the Commies are gods, and Medvedev AKA Putin’s puppy is a devil?

Your comments aren’t lies entirely, but they aren’t truth either (you invent bS, for example).

    21. Kirov says:

Oh, and for your information, MaxD, dickface, things like vacuum cleaners and cameras are expensive EVERYWHERE OTHER THEN IN THEIR COUNTRY OF MAKING. Do you comprehend this simple fact? If Canon was a Russian company, their wares would be far cheaper in Russia then in Japan. But it is the opposite. As now, things like Nokia mobile phones are actually cheaper then in other European nations.

      Get your facts straight, myzhik.

    22. maxD says:

Actually, not true. Stuff is more expensive in Japan than in Europe. Weirdly enough. A decent vacuum cleaner in Holland will cost you approx. 50-150 euro’s, i.e.

      http://www.kieskeurig.nl/stofzuiger/philips/fc_871201_-_bagless_vacuum_cleaner/prijzen/262465/

In the UK, 40 pounds is standard..

In Russia it can be easily 300 - 600 dollars, due to idiotic import taxes and the bribes involved to get a product in the shops, and I’m still reffering to a more or less standard imported vacuum cleaner, just like the ones above.

To be a consumer in Russia is not fun - the country hardly produces anything, and what it produces is below standard quality, I’m sorry to say, it exports almost exclusively raw resources [timber, nickel, oil, gas etc] and imports almost everything else.

Nokia telephones are indeed cheaper, yes. The Nokia 5800 Expressmusic is in Russia 400 euro’s [depending on exchange rate] in Europe at least 100 euro’s more expensive. Computers, when imported [like Apple] are more expensive. Local production made with off-the-shelf parts is cheap.

1.YESS! Once again you show your brilliance, by not making any concrete facts! You simply say this and that, and compare different products with each other. You proved nothing mate.

3.Provide the price of THE SAME vacuum cleaner in Holland, Britain, and Russia. Then talk.

      4. Russia exports only resources? WTF? Russia may not have a strong light industry (but it is evolving, especially in IT & computer area), but Russia exports MANY heavy industrial products, like tanks, Commercial aircraft, tractors (and the like) etc.
