Children Book, Not

Children Book in Russia with girls

This is a children book with poems. Those poems come from the Soviet times, many people liked them, they are absolutely without any “double meaning”. Just ask any Russian about Agnia Barto author and he’ll have some sweet memories from his childhood.

Well, now tell me is this modern edition of the book is OK?

Here is a quick translation of the poem from this page, just it was originally about:
“We have cleaned our classroom
Everyone was working hard
Sweeping floor, with a broom
Cleaning was today’s part

Shared all the tasks among
Girls and boys in equal shares
And the girls were moving
Locker full of books
Boys were resting

Heavy locker with the books
Three small girls were moving
And two strong boys same time
Were just one chair carrying”

    1. The words might not seem subversive, but what of the pictures?

        • Miss India says:

OMG look at how pure Russia is, of course in 3rd world, disgusting poor trash perverted America, home to the world’s largest population of pedophiles, whose minds have been perverted by pornography would find these images arousing, yuck! :(

          • pox says:

What’s wrong with these pictures? You see there porn or erotic? I think you have dirty mind if you think that these pictures are dirty. I see there just images with dressed people whithout sexual meaning. I think you need medical therapy as fast as it possible. You have wrong vision of world around you. I hope healing will give you positive result. And you will see book for kids when you open book for kids. (Sorry for my English)

    2. Adan says:

In this books it looks like soft child porn.

    3. Miss India says:

Paedophilia is alive and well in 3rd world poverty stricken Russia. A trusted source told me one of the biggest export of Russia is child pornography :(

      • scot says:

Ah… Miss India. Your misunderstanding of Russian economics truly brings a tear to my eye :( Today’s mark 0/10. Sorry

Today’s online seminar looks at something we call “Getting Things Wrong”.

In this case, it’s important to rememeber to apply some logic and intelligence to information that you receive. Firstly, I realise that you do struggle on more complex points but you really should question your sources more closely.

A god question may have been. Does Russia make more money from child pornography than from selling gas, minerals, oil, cars, weapons etc. If you had taken the time to think about it a bit more then obviously this is unlikely to be true.

Extra marks on your next post if you can get your trusted source to elucidate (this means to go into more detail).

        love from your online tutor

      • Paul says:

All those problems are far more representative of India than of Russia, always have been, always will be. In fact, 3rd world poverty and pedophilia is just about all that happens there in India.

    4. aleke says:

I’m afraid only truly advanced civilizations understand the need for subversion of silly abrahamic and other repressive religion’s stigmas. Only great, stupid country of USA still holds on to cave-man ideology in the rich world… maybe it wont be among the rich within the next couple of centuries…

    5. Nina Germany says:

lol, you only view those pictures as dirty if you have dirty mind.

    6. Bubbles says:

Ha, they bandaged the cats tail, if I tried that with my cat it would run around the house at high speed until the bandage came off.

But I don’t understand, what is wrong with the pictures?

    7. Kolombusz says:

Russian and japanese cartoons are related, this one is contains a little bit of ecchi

      • cj oregon says:

They do seem to have Manga overtones…
        It’s really too bad
Our kids are growing up too fast

I was taught in that class by uh, Damb, what was the name of that crazy disidant Jew? Any way he said that childhood traditionally is considered to be a Russian’s favorite time/memory. Isn’t innocence still considered sacred there? Tell me there’s still a place on the planet where a kid can play in peace!

    8. Miss India says:

OMG look at how pure Russia is, of course in 3rd world, disgusting poor trash perverted America, home to the world’s largest population of pedophiles, whose minds have been perverted by pornography would find these images arousing, yuck! :(

    9. wow… only in russia!
      i wish i had books like this when i was a kid…

    10. I find it interesting that you would call America both great and stupid. I also wonder what impact the “truly advanced civilisations” make in a world–remember friend, it is not a question of morality, but an enquiry into the depiction of females in these bawdy limericks an illustrations.

      I just realized I’m a pedophile… God help us all…
      =)

    13. I’ve seen this topic discussed elsewhere. IIRC, the original discussion was showing the children book above side by side with Maxim (I think) illustrations from which the drawings were made. I am sure that the search of the “internets” would reveal the original thing.

    14. Rd! says:

OMG! The text is a nice poem, but the images… grr, WHERE IS THE STATE CENSURE WHEN WE NEED IT!?

    15. Jason says:

It looks like it is a teen sex prevention for children.

    16. Miss India says:

Nina Germany, is that because you are a women? Cause men are attracted to women, and non-gay women aren’t.

PS. I would also ask you to start using facts about Russia, and stop whining about how Russia OWNED Germany in WW2. Sure, *some* (NOTE: Beevor is a worthless source) Red army soldiers acted very badly, but if they were caught, they were shot.

      • Yes, by all means Miss India, we should buy into the concept that all bad people are always caught and punished rightfully so. You ask people to use facts, but retort with a completely fact-devoid comment. You merely need to read letters and journals from the early Soviet history to realize how brutal Red army soldiers were to Russians and other ethnicities alike. If you showed any inclination towards actually wanting to learn about history (instead of trying to insight petty online arguments to feel dominant) I would give you some primary and secondary sources.

    18. Russ, Ian says:

We teach our kids how to enjoy women from an early age. Americans put censorship on everything trying to “protect” their kids from indecency. The result is obvious, US is a nation full of fags and sexually deprived teenagers that go on the rampage in high schools.

    19. Me says:

The translation is incorrect. The poem being translated is not shown. Could be because it didn’t have pictures that were “perverted” enough for this post…

    21. Ivan Grin says:

Well, first of all, the translation of the poem is not correct.

    22. Pattty says:

What the f*** happens to these russian people? They all are so weird, creepy and bizarre :S

    23. risu says:

Ahaha, I love those coquettish kids. It’s a bit out of place, and I would call the illustrator a subversive artist. But, definitely, I don’t think there is anything wrong in finding sexy girls (obviously they are intended to look so) sexy. Or say “pretty” instead, if it calms your being-an-unaware-pedophile fears. As someone said before, many japanese “hentai” manga depict children in sexual or even pornographic manner (along with every kind of other possible fetishes).

As for the children, well, if they find the depicted girls attractive, great, I hope they’ll enjoy the book. If not, they just won’t care. Stop being paranoid and seeing the Devil everywhere :)

      • Alexander says:

Well, maybe you’re right :), but as for me: the illustrator is sick, the editor is dumbass. We already have more than enough sex in outdoor advertisement, Internet, on TV, etc - so placing pictures with such implication in children books - that beats everything.
